The fact that the guys are dispersed all over Chicagoland makes this somewhat challenging. With enough interest, however, we could:

(a) negotiate something like a 2-3 month group deal with a gym, with options to extend.

(b) negotiate a group deal with one of those "bootcamp" outfits that run people up and down the lakefront at 4am in a godawful weather

(c) negotiate a group deal with a professional coach (former DePaul track coach)

(a) would have flexibility, which is both good and bad. (b) and (c) would offer a structure, but there is a chance to get hurt for the less fit or overzealous guys getting competitive.

I am sure Chicago Soccer fan would come out of retirement to help. There would have to be a fan section, of course, where the fans can sit and drink beer.....

attaboy Coach! "Bought and paid for" as they say.

I'm OK if there's no ice cream, pizza, BBQ ribs, french fries or Diet Dr. Pepper around.

If I could find a way to burn calories while driving the 90 minutes to work - and back - then I'd be in business. I don't want to get arrested burning the calories either like that dead Timberwolf/Rocket hoopster that got busted pulling the goalie while watching porn - while driving. It's no wonder he got hit by a train a few months ago.

I'm in.. I'm a stocky bastard and so I've never appeared round. I was 5'8" 270 about 45 days ago. Dropping my calorie intake and exercising regularly, I'm down 35 pounds and have plenty to go.

I thought that after the 3 stories posted in Ugie's boredom thread, this title was automatically awarded to Boilermaker Rick

Put me down for 200 - 205. I just don't have the time to exercise on a consistent basis.

I gained 50 lbs over the last 10 months. I've already lost 25 lbs and am going to lose the last 25 lbs and get back down to my original weight. I start tomorrow.

Spaulding I am pretty confident that you are the only one that delivered a baby here so gaining 50 pounds is not a lot....
All though a lot of guys seemed to have fathered babies this year, I cannot explain their weight gain....

Coach, she's cute, besides, \isn't there some unwritten rule you don't ask a woman those type of questions?

50 lbs on someone 5' tall is a lot. I'm very Britney Spearsish. My current weight is 140. I'd like to get back to 110-115 and do a triathlon again.

It's okay...hawkeye, Ryan, and Mitch can all vouch for me not being a fat ass. At some point I will not be a fat ass again.

Alright, I think I got a plan for us fatasses.

Weekly group runs. Meet up by Diversey range (paylot) for weigh-in, goal setting for next week, and run. It will also motivate to control friday night overeating and drinking. We could make it a little more interesting if we bring footballs, throw, and run routes. Don't get too excited though, no tackling! Duffy's serves excellent breakfast which we could allow ourselves to as once a week reward. Guys with families could have the wifes/kids come by for that part of the festivities.

Well, the only running I do is to catch the 49or the 78, and if Duffy's is involved I'll just meet you at the bar...

I'm a #20 man, myself.

Man, I'm bored. The gf is babysitting all weekend. I have to work tomorrow, so can't really get hammered. TV sucks.

I'll add mine to the tally. Started at 152 with goal of 170. About 3 weeks ago I had the body of a 12 year old girl. That had to end...

well....that was just mean, hawkeye. i thought we were friends.

:P
no, but seriously...fuck you.
:)
if you're a 12 yr. old girl, then i'm probably in the 9-10 yr. old range.

just after i typed the above I decided to go weigh myself which hasn't been done since i started my new routine......
i weigh 137 lbs.

I'm in the same boat. A few years ago I hovered around the 138 to 142 mark. Now I'm about 163 but I want to put on at least 10 more pounds. I've been hitting the weights and taking creatine.

So I can ignore it and post here.

I could stand to lose about 40-60lbs.
