How Gone Girl didn't get a best picture nod is crazy to me.

Relatively strong field this year. I am not that surprised. Everyone said the book was better than the movie.
I saw the movie and it was pretty good but not great.

Do men actually care about any of this?

Maybe they should have the Oscars at 3 pm on New Year's Eve

Until I am invited to any of my neighbors birthing parties, I actually have some interest in the Oscars.

If I was going to remove the pictures of Sudsy Monchik from my walls and replace them with those of one other person it would be Marion Cotillard. I love her so god damn much. God damn.

Do you long for the days when Hollywood was glamorous?

picture does not accurately represent current conditions

She was chubby in Dark Knight.

I saw her in a very odd movie on cable where she had lost her legs and was being mercy fed by a guy who made a living street boxing in France.

Read an article about that today. First time in a while not any black people. Then it occurred to me how many movies do people see that have a black in a prominent role? On top of that they must be award worthy. Numbers game? Denzel was busy?

I have not been to a movie theater in 15 years, and if I ever do it will be too soon.

I didn't see it but what I read was Denzel was not at his Oscar level.

I thought it was as good as Training Day. I didn't think Training Day was worthy of an Oscar though.

If it means not having to look at Oprah and Gayle King sitting there,I'm find with it. They could have at least gave the guy who played "The Falcon" in Captain America a nod.

the Academy is very picky with its "ethnic" film choices. i mean there were two other big name films out there this year like "top five" and "dear white people" that may have gotten recognition but didn't, either.

what's insulting is that "selma" is nominated for best picture, the most prestigious award of the evening, but barely anything else. if it's seen as a "best picture", why isn't the director or actor at least nominated, too? i guess the worst would've been if wilkinson was nominated for LBJ but that was all...

i'm thinking the director's tweets about LBJ and whatnot may have had a hand in her snubbing. do not rock the boat if you wanna be in the Academy's circle. make a controversial movie, not a controversial statement.

Don't worry, fret not!

Sony Pictures has paid Al Sharpton a hefty sum to advise them on making their movies.

All BLACK peeps in the Oscars next year or he'll make the Oscars look like Freddie's Fashion Mart!

Oh my! Boozie Boozdie bop! Biddly Bop!

I see that I can rent Boyhood off my television so that will likely be viewed tonight or tomorrow.
Also planning on going to the movies and possibly see American Sniper or The Imitation Game.

not true as I work, I pick up food at a place I choose and we go to my friend's house

however, that is a night I'd be happy to concede a bit as there is always a payoff

You have to barter for that? You're married, you should be getting the goods for free.

I'm not big on movie theaters either. I don't fit in the seats very well.
