This game seems even more pointless than the Pro Bowl. What is a scout going to notice in a game where every prospect is desperately trying not to hurt themselves? Do they realize that all real games are filmed now?

I think it's more so they can watch the guys practice.

I can't see that so I have to settle for watching the game.

I think these guys will be going harder than a Pro Bowl, though. This means something real to them.

the week of practice is more important the game

Players will be asked to do things that will be expected of them in the pros rather than what is good for their team. OL will get an opportunity to show they can play multiple line positions, as one example

I've read that Collins from LSU projects at Guard rather than Tackle in the NFL.

I don't think they'll play him there though. But, if he drops, the idea of him at RG and moving Long to RT intrigues me.

So what's the deal with Ryan Groy, the C from Wisconsin? Is he next in line after Garza? They need someone who can step right in because Garza is just about finished.

Mobile, Alabama is a quick drive. Get down there and get eyes on these guys.

I think he's just a big body. I don't think he's more than a career backup to fill in at G/C. He's not too fleet of foot.

I think he's too big to be an every Sunday center.

I like Grasu but you might have other needs than taking him around 3.

Max Garcia is playing this game also. He's a little bigger and might be a little more Olin-like in temperament. You might be able to grab him down in 4-6.

It was unreasonable to ask him to play last year. He was an UDFA. He was expected to hold a spot on the practice squad for 1-2 years.

You can't teach size and that guy is massive.

I'm aiming low this year.

He's a pretty big dude. I think he's the guy that played LT at Maryland and then transferred and they moved him to C.

I'm not a huge fan of C being above 6'2" or 6'3" but I always assume these guys are about 1.5" shorter than they list in college.

I'll be interested to see the combine numbers.

Interesting - good size and athleticism.

MOBILE, Ala. -- Auburn's Nick Marshall expects to be a cornerback in the NFL, even though he's playing quarterback at the Senior Bowl.

Marshall came out to Tuesday's practice in a yellow quarterback's jersey initially but then worked with the defensive backs and also as a gunner on special teams.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Marshall started as a defensive back at Georgia before getting dismissed from the team.

Marshall said he made the decision after talking to his mother and other family members.

"It wasn't difficult because I played cornerback also coming up," he said. "It won't be a hard transition for me to make. It's something that I know if I put my mind to I can do anything that I want."

Marshall played quarterback at junior college and led Auburn to the national championship game during the 2013 season.

He was a Maxwell Award semifinalist as a senior, passing for 4,508 yards and rushing for 1,866 in two seasons.

Marshall is on the Senior Bowl roster as a quarterback but is open to getting some practice time in the secondary.

"Whatever they ask, I'm going to do whatever they want me to play," Marshall said. "Go out and make a good impression on them."
