I enjoy comedy as much as anybody but this stuff ain't funny!

I enjoy Fallon's monologue and interaction with his co-host. I enjoy the bits but this stupid game stuff and some of the dumb skits have to go.

You know, you might be on to something. Check out all the current late night hosts. A lot of Silly or bordering on effeminate males: Conan,Fallon,Seth Meyers (very "soft") and the new 11:30 guy over at CBS: James Carsden (British Fop). Letterman and his replacement act like men and Kimmel is OK,just not that funny or good at his job.

Letterman has been phoning it in since at least 1998.

Yeah,I know. He is so liberal he still uses George Bush jokes. CBS should have walked him behind the barn about 5-8 years ago.

I've never watched those late night shows.

I was in the David Letterman club in high school, only because it was run by a teacher who gave you a better grade for joining and it only required watching a taped version of the show at lunch period once a week.

Stop watching. There are so many other options on television.

Late-night skits have generally been terrible since the beginning.

At this point, it's akin to watching the sports segment on the local news.

I like the game they play called "Jimmy Fallon Licks The Shit Off A Famous Person's Asshole." They play it every day for an hour.

Until I'm convinced otherwise, I remain steadfast in my belief that Jimmy Fallon is an American treasure.
As far as kissing celebs' asses, that's part of his job.
The guest is on to promote something, and it's his job to try to ramp up hype, but he never really seems phony about it.
To me, he just seems like a really nice guy who loves his job. I like him a lot.
That being said, in regard to the pic above, can Kevin Hart just kinda go away already?
Talk about an unfunny comedian.....

That's just it. Phoniness would be preferable! Earnestly believing in bullshit is so disconcerting.

Yeah brah.
I could only hope to have a more genuinely positive outlook on life while getting paid millions to do my dream job.
You've convinced me.
Jimmy Fallon is a douchenozzle.

Your facetious response has all the subtlety of a Jimmy Fallon sketch.

I'll tell you what Fallon is...a horrible interviewer. The absolute worse I have ever seen & heard. He's definitely got comedic talent though.

That's about right. He sounds like a 12 year old during interviews. Jerry Seinfeld was needling him about this on a recent visit. I think Seth Meyers handles his interviews like an adult. Conan also acts like a goof during an interview. Kimmel is ok. Jack Parr & Carson would be rolling over in their comfy chairs.

This guy Fallon might actually cancel Late Night talk show viewing for me:

wow,I guess he isn't Mr.Nice Guy.

http://www.tmz.com/2014/03/06/jimmy-fal ... ight-show/

NBC is coming down like a hammer on celebs who want to get on Jimmy Fallon's show ... if they dare do a show on CBS or ABC ... they can forget about "The Tonight Show."

Sources connected to CBS, NBC and ABC tell TMZ ... the Peacock network believes Jimmy Fallon's ratings success gives them extreme bargaining power. They put the word out to celebs, agents and publicists ... if they want to be on Fallon they can't appear on ANY other network ... and not just shows that go head-to-head with Jimmy, but morning shows as well.

We're told NBC is saying the stars who go on Fallon are also allowed to appear on "Today," "Dateline" and any similar shows they air, but that's it.

A GMA source tells TMZ ... they've already gotten fallout from people they were trying to book.

Fallon is dominating late night .... crushing Jimmy Kimmel by bringing in more than twice the number of viewers.

I actually think Fallon's announcer guy is amusing. Don't care for the grabass bits with celebrities and I hate that jumping-up-hand-clap thing Fallon does in every interview when he gets excited.

I've started watching Conan more now that Ferguson is gone. His show can be funny but I hate how obvious it is in his interviews that he is going off of the pre-interview done with the guest. There's no spontaneity to the conversation. Guess I am too used to Ferguson's style.

Seth Meyers is a smirking dope with no comedic timing or talent. He's a white guy reading words. His monologue is just a derivation of Weekend Update.

I've seen his show a couple times. He might find a groove eventually, but right now it's very much this.

He's been doing the show for about a year now, if he hasn't found his groove yet, he probably never will.

People ripped on Leno for being lame and only appealing to the AARP crowd, but Fallon seems to be every bit as lame. The only difference being that his material is targeted towards millenials instead of their aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Did you see Conan's writer call Fallon out?

“Prom King Comedy. That’s what I call all this shit. You’ve let the popular kids appropriate the very art form that helped you deal. Fuck.”

“None of the funniest stuff ever involved celebrity cameos.”

“Add games and lip synching and nostalgia and karaoke to this list.”

Good stuff in the comments, too:

I wish I could remember where a guy had an article- Upworthy or Uproxx or some site- where he made the sensible plea, "Hey Content Aggregators and Websites Everywhere, Please Stop Reposting Every Single Fucking Thing Goddamn Jimmy Fallon Does, Every Fucking Next Day, Because This 'Viral' Shit Is Out Of Hand And Fallon Actually Suuuucks."

And he was spot on. Every day on HuffPo and the like, it's "Watch the wacky thing on Fallon last night, it's hysterical!1!", and it never goddamned is.

Sinicalypse called this shit like the week it started.

I will never take cues on what is funny and what isn't from anybody who spells comedy with a capital "C" unless it is at the beginning of a sentence or preceding a word like "Hovel" in a proper location name.

And all variety show bands should be drug tested to insure a consistent 40% dependency quota.
