The Bears were 5-11 with Cutler last year. What do you think their record would have been if either Claussen or Fales played all 16 games? 3-13? 4-12? 5-11? I think they still would have been 5-11. Get rid off Cutler. Period.

Matt got Dan good in tranny. Here the king of schadenfreude is chastising Bears fans for taking joy in watching the Packers choke in catastrophic fashion. That's just transparent trolling.

Mannelly got Berns too when Berns made a comment & groan about Ditka & the old Bears coming to Halas hall to address the team, & Mannelly said that when he was with the team like when the former players came to visit. Berns didnt respond.

Berns usually is careful to avoid mentioning his thoughts on momentum, emotion, & meatballery when talking with an athlete because the athlete always disagrees with him. Not this time.

Dan keeps talking bout how Cutler will not be the QB when Bears are good again. But wont give an answer on how that future qb may be. Typically if a qb is good the team they are on does not let them leave. So what college guy is it?

It's a college guy likely drafted next year in the first round.

He is full of shit. Fox will live with Cutler and try to improve around him and corral his mistakes. Even everyone has to admit Cutler is no worse the the middle QB at 16. There is no better option. Sanchez?

Having the 16th best quarterback in the league who isn't young or cheap is the worst option possible.

I don't really understand this Cutler narrative....."There's nobody better out there".

The Bears were 5-11 and Cutler led the league in turnovers.

David Fales could not equal that? Play him and you find out if he's worth keeping. Cutler is gone in the next 2 years.

Matt, Matt, Matt et al.... We have to pay him for next year anyway, either way. Improve around him and wait. There is no QB fix in draft or otherwise. That was the crux of my 16 qb point.

Yeah, but you don't have to pay him in year 3(of his contract) if he is gone next year, and Cutler is good enough to take you out of the top 5 picks next year too.

There is no benefit to having an older, highly paid, top 16 quarterback. It is only bad for your team.

If he is on the team next year, his money becomes guaranteed for year 3 of his deal(the season after this one).

If he is gone by the third day of the league year then they are off the hook for that.

The salary cap hit sucks for the next year but it makes it much better for the year after.

Dan....no fan or listener gives a shit if Bears brass is happy with the hirings. And no it is not a "leap of faith" to fire a coach and GM that no other organization would have hired. It's called correcting your mistakes. It's what teams with half a football brain do.
