The Bears were 5-11 with Cutler last year. What do you think their record would have been if either Claussen or Fales played all 16 games? 3-13? 4-12? 5-11? I think they still would have been 5-11. Get rid off Cutler. Period.

Yeah, but you don't have to pay him in year 3(of his contract) if he is gone next year, and Cutler is good enough to take you out of the top 5 picks next year too.

There is no benefit to having an older, highly paid, top 16 quarterback. It is only bad for your team.

If he is on the team next year, his money becomes guaranteed for year 3 of his deal(the season after this one).

If he is gone by the third day of the league year then they are off the hook for that.

The salary cap hit sucks for the next year but it makes it much better for the year after.
