Might have helped if the city part of the repairs (e.g., the piping underneath the bleachers .... e.g., the part not under any control by the Cubs whatsoever) had been closer to the projected pre-November completion rather than the actual nearly 2 months ...

Okay, I'm sorry that the city didn't bend over backwards enough to facilitate the Tom Ricketts Permanent Block Party Theme Park And Conference Center.

Bruce Levine reported that Budweiser drafts will now be $10 each as well. Yowzers!

Big boy baseball requires big boy beer. They told you what they're doing.

At PNC they do not gouge as bad like this $8-9 for a 24 oz domestic can. Better than ball park flat draft anyway.

I'm looking forward to Opening Day now. It's cool to me to take in a game where the stadium is in a state of flux. Totally serious.

Remember, the fans don't care how much money the team spends. It's their (meaning the owners) money. Why should the fans care? Well, here is one reason why.

$2 for a Budweiser is too much money.

If baseball parks were smart they would do like the bars on a Wed or Thur night. $2 beer night.

Honestly don't know. Heard it Sunday morning and hadn't seen it discussed here.

During Crane Kenny's business presentation they showed a MOCK UP of the new concession stands in the Budweiser Bleachers. On the hand drawn mock up it had a Bud at $10. When asked if beer was gong to be 10 bucks they said it was only a mock up. Crane then added tongue in cheek that "That's for the 164 oz size."

Is the draft beer flat at Wrigley? It would seem that they blow through those kegs pretty quickly.

312 is okay. I would drink that before Bud or Old Pile.

The city estimated how long it would take ... it ended up taken two months longer than that estimate... these things may happen but that's not on the Cubs, it's on a city's brittle, failing 100 year old infrastructure in this case. It's not anybody's fault per se. Your 2edgy4me reply doesn't quite apply.

They sell Goose 312.

I'm aware of the selection.

312 is not at all of the establishments along the concourse, and for every four Bud vendors, there is one 312 vendor.

And 312 is average at best.

U.S. Cellular's 100 level has more premium beer kiosks. I appreciate those.

Cubs Insider had a good point about the beer. Ten bucks is going to stiff the vendors. Buy two beers at $8.50 and its much more likely to keep $1 - $3 bucks change as a tip.

Well if you're going to stomp on the little guy might as well get everybody associated with the Cubs.

I think a lot of people don't tip the vendors at all. Or they'll think they're a big sport for letting the guy keep the odd quarter.

So, two beers for twenty, I'm gonna give two bucks. At 8.50 I'm gonna pay with a twenty and ask for a buck back, still a two buck tip. At 8.75 I give the 2.50. But I think .75 kills the vendor because most people will by two beers and just let them keep the fifty cents or a buck and a half instead of a dollar or two.

I have never seen a vendor stiffed of a tip at a ballpark. Do you often?

I don't really pay attention, but I know a lot of vendors, and plenty of people don't tip or just let them keep the coins.

See it all the time with people coming the first time or non regulars.

When I'm with a guy who isn't a regular with my crew, they're often surprised that we only buy beer from a couple specific vendors. A regular vendor that you tip well is going to know when you need a beer, and is going to make sure to swing by you at last call.

One of my wife's girlfriends acted like we were some kind of degenerates for knowing the vendors' names. I've been going to 30 games a year forever. It would be weird not to know the names of the people that work there.

Just another one of those little things that makes baseball cool.

Blonde female vendor Mary, works both parks. Some guys in my old section would wait for Mary to buy their Buds from her only. Not that loyal of a custmomer.
