Did any of those movies have official assistance by the armed services? I ask because I don't know. My guess would be not and they are entirely different films than Top Gun.

I don't understand how people can celebrate that.

This guy really felt like he had a calling to protect the Marines who were working on the ground.
They do a pretty good job of trying to pull this information out of him through his wife's character.
She is pregnant both times he is over there.

And is it really that bad of an idea to be halfway around the world while your pregnant, crabby wife is back at home? Go out in the shit for nine months and get away from the bitching and nagging, amirite?

Understand having that feeling. He also had a calling to raise his children. Being alive is a big part of parenthood.

Its not cut n dry but to have multiple kids but then keep risking your life... I dont know

Fucking Transformers had official assistance from the U.S. military.

I'm not a parent so I wouldn't completely understand, but I highly recommend the movie. We are talking about a
guy with 160 confirmed kills ( shots with witnesses ) out of 255 probable kills. He was an intense and messed up
individual with an incredible skill set for shooting from long distances. He felt he was putting his brothers in arms
in harms way by being at home with his family. Even when he was home he showed many signs of PTSD and was
unstable. There is a scene with him at the hospital with his wife for a final checkup before the birth was to happen
and he is sitting there as calm as could be but the doctor asked to take his blood pressure and it was off the charts.

You need a certain mindset to perform that duty. I sure as shit couldn't do it.

It's not a documentary, so I fully expect creative license, just as with other biopics.

I'm not the biggest fan of Eastwood as a director, but I'm sure I will see it at some point.

Im sure it's a compelling story. Just not sure the guy should be celebrated.

The 160 or 255 numbers dont do much other than make me feel bad for the world.

I can't stand political conventions. Really just idiocy on both sides.

I'll check the movie out whenever it's on Netflix and I'm in the mood to hate watch something.

Never saw a one. Heartbreak Ridge had some really good dialogue. The Marines weren't too pleased about it, though.
