Could be ok? Maybe he was on Fox's mindset but overruled by Manning. Coaching Manning at this point has to be difficult.

The Broncos have had problems running the ball, ranking 27th in the NFL in yards per game. Some of that falls on Manning as a play-caller. But Martz also sees it as a symptom of inexperience. Gase only sprinkles in the occasional zone-blocking run. “If you want to run zone-running plays, you have to do it over and over again. You have to have reps,” Martz says. “Twenty years ago it was difficult to evaluate quarterbacks because they might have thrown 120 times a year. Now it’s 450. You used to be able to evaluate running backs. Now that’s switched.”

Where Gase thrives, though, is in the passing game.

It appears options are limited. I don't like any of the options mentioned. Gase, I guess, is the lesser of the 3 evils. I want no part of Weiss and can't see anything interesting about the Detroit coordinator.

Preface that I would not want Weis. Bernsie's issues aside though how much damage can Weiss do sitting in a press box calling plays. He seems to not be bad at only that.

So Gase signed a 3 year deal, Fox a 4 year deal, & Pace a 5 year deal, right? So Fox get a 2nd chance at an OC, & Pace gets a 2nd chance at a head coach.

if he can make the bear offense top 10 next year he probably gets a HC job next off-season... if the offense stinks or the first 2 years he gets canned... either way i cant see him being with the team more than 2 years
