One of the best shows on TV has its season opener tonight.

Season 1 and 2 were fantastic. I expect much of the same for season 3.

I keep seeing previews and it looks great. Do I definitey need to watch S1 and 2 to get what's going on?

I wish I wouldn't have let this series get away from me. I stopped watching about halfway through Season 1.
I thought it was pretty good but just had other things I was trying to watch and catch up on like binge watching
Breaking Bad and Justified.

yes 100%.

Weird question. Do you know any other tv shows aside from American Horror Story where you don't need to see the seasons in order in order to fully appreciate and know what the hell is going on????

bad move, this show, although not as good as BB, is definitely as good if not better than Justified.

Yeah, I never thought it was bad I just had too much shit to watch and didn't keep up with it. I could
probably attempt to pick it back up, although I would likely start over from the beginning and probably won't
do that.

I've enjoyed the show and will continue watching it. It has a small soap opera element to it with some circular plots angles. But otherwise a nice historical spy drama.

Pretty much every show made prior to 2000.

yea I guess that's basically true. pretty amazing how far TV has come in the last 15 years.

People rip on Lost a lot, but looking back I think it can be argued that Lost was the key starting point to what is now being called the golden age of tv. It really opened peoples eyes as to what type of stories/shows could work on the small screen.

It's seems to me that Sopranos broke the mold and made HBO (and other cable channels) into serious contenders for original programming. That is the first time I recall being glued to the tv for a series where it was important to watch in order. If you missed an episode, you felt like you were all alone in the office on Monday morning.
