he was pretty insistent that the show go to the next super bowl, did say why they needed to go, but just reading between the lines.

kind of feel he already did.

Why retire, whats he going to do? Keep the ISDN line in the house, check in daily for an hour. Drive down in the convertible when the weather is nice.

Why would anyone ever retire from that job? It's paid retirement the way Terry treats it.

Paid retirement right now. No reason to lose that check.

to be honest i find him and Dan quite refreshing compared to the rest of the score cast, funny, rude(which i enjoy and find funny), and treat the dumb callers they way they need to be treated (shotgunned or yelled at)

He blogged about it back in April:

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/04/14/ ... night-run/

(David) Letterman has done one other thing for me, setting a sensible path for retirement, something I’ve been mulling over for a while. For some reason I just couldn’t figure out when it was going to be or how I was going to do it.

I’ve got it now, a perfectly clear path that finally makes sense, even though there are several ifs involved.

Funny how things happen that way.

No one's gonna call out this shitty intern mult?

I was waiting on you to guess 20 times incorrectly who it is, and then I would voice my opinion.

It's an intern trying to curry favor.

I remember him saying when he retired that he wouldn't watch any sports but horseracing.

That's all he watches now.

Get's together with JORR to go over the racing form when the weather is better.

If I'm Terry and I'm making $400K+ and get to work from home, Mitch would have to force me out, something he isn't good at doing.

Of course he's going to retire soon. He's old, tired, and fahhhhh-ty. He's counting down the days til he can pack up his microphone and red Cuban baseball pants and ride off into the Mokena sunset.

Terry just cuts a new deal that says he doesnt have to go to shows in Bars and he will be in for 2 hours from his home studio.

That is weird that Terry is wearing a cross. I thought he was an atheist.

I've picked up on that too. He gets very quiet with political craps and when Bernstein makes political comments. Keeps his mouth shut because it isn't worth the on air debate

I have said this many time here...those of us CSFMB guys who are older & used to listed to the heavy fuel crew with Mac & Boers remember that Terry was very very conservative pretty much across the board regardless of the subject. He was true to himself the first couple of years with Berns, but when Berns went off the rails, Terry stopped voicing his true feelings & opinions.
It is really a shame because the B&B show would be great if Boers had it in him to challenge & disagree with Berns.

That one of Terry popping up on the Score website to sell you cars or something, that was an old avatar of mine, wasn't it? Man, that was disturbing, trying to find a crappy 16 kb/s podcast only to get HI I'M TERRY BOERS and you can't close him.

He is built like Jerry Stiller.

Short and hunched over, with a huge head, and freakishly long arms.

Dan always has the hunch back going. His face always looks like he smelled a bad fart.

he looks hunched over in this photo because he's lifting his heels off the ground to make himself taller.

Why retire? He's got the best gig in the world! Hardly ever watches sports and makes ludicrous bank. I lost any of the remaining respect I had for WSCR when I found out Terry makes $500K. What a deal! He's like one of those entrenched Cook County slug employees.

Terry was conservative in the past that is true now like many he is silenced. And why does Bernsie look like a 65 year old Jewish man at 45?

I don't work any where near a radio station, im actually a farmer in northeast iowa, not an intern. Yes I do find them funny, 99% of the callers make me cringe their so dumb.
