I'll say this, though. Da Ma Na is the ex girlfriend that Mitch and Zim can't get over. Months of chasing him last Summer. Only to get rejected. Chased him again this past week. Rejected. And they are still holding out hope that they'll still get him. Quite something the spell he has over them.

It also means whomever they hire now is a temp and that person doesn't know it. Unless they don't hire anybody. Rotate the Score's bench for a few months and then Mac returns.

I think that would require more motivation than Mac has at this point. Recording the podcast is the easy part. It's disseminating and promoting it that takes some effort. For all his suspensions and iconoclastic behavior, Mac is a radio traditionalist. He was groomed by Chet who for a long time was the insider's insider. That's as opposed to someone like Dahl who has always been an outsider even when he was making big bucks for radio conglomerates.

Considering what happened during his last stint at The Score with the multiple extended leave of absences, the unreliability, and the apparent loss of enthusiasm for his work, I think the station would be kind of foolish to hitch its wagon to Danny Mac at this point.
