I'll get accused of always being negative of this show, even though I just told the guys recently the show hasn't been better over the past few weeks. I just can't believe they are actually taking calls from listeners about going undefeated in fantasy football. Could there be a worse or more boring topic to listen to on air? I guess what gets me in all of this it sounded like it was Mac's idea to talk about this and I thought he was the one he says more than anyone else how boring it is to talk fantasy football on air.

I've been listening in and out since I heard this undefeated fantasy talk so maybe it wasn't as long of a discussion as I have perceived it to be.

Worse topics:

Anyone singing.
Harry drinking stories.
Mac's high school football glory days.
Any Bulls talk since none of them know wtf they're talking about

Sprinkle in some Blackhawks chatter and you have a show for the ages.

They already have

In all seriousness I'm enjoying the pub the Blackhawks are getting. I've been dying to be able to follow an NHL team on a consistent basis for years.

I normally like Simmonson but thought this article was stupid when I read it originally, can't believe they are taking call on this either. Since when are they captive to discuss anything posted on espn.com?

I like Simmons' work and I thought it was a good column when I read it, however, it is not a topic for a radio segment. Although, it is better than the usual, "I have this guy and this guy, who should I start?", stuff.

btw-- kudo's on the hawkey talk. And the web poll question.

This is a stupid topic. Dan McNeil should be embarrassed.

Ryan, don't know if you caught the bit about horse racing or the baby shower that was last weekend but those topics have been covered as well.

It sounds like the whole damn show has gone unplugged.
Quick, someone plug the fucker back in so Finji has at least the last hour for his "Best of" show.

Actually... I thought the topic was hideous also, but it was debated in our production meeting so we discussed it briefly. I think we spent three or four minutes on it.

Too much singing? Guilty. There should be far less joy in sportsradio because the topics are soooo serious.

Too much high school football "glory days discussion?" When do I ever bring it up? A couple of you guys have brought it up here over the past year... but I can't recall doing it myself.

I have a feeling Finji's gonna be replaying that Tony Romo interview again during the 6 o'clock hour.

Your mistake is thinking that the singing brings anyone joy. Outside of you three, anyway.

It does bring some people joy. If you're not among them, maybe you just don't desire being happy. I can recommend a good therapist.

Let me tell you guys about the playoff game in 1983 when I was at Romeoville High School and we went down to East St.Louis to play the 2 time and undefeated state champs that year and we were down 13 to 6 and we scored and made it 13 to 12 and we went for two points and the win with no time on the clock and I dropped the two pointer in the end zone and lost the game.  :x

Now if that aint golry days I don't know what is.

Mac bringing the fire and the passion on defending the singing. I'm guilty as charged as thinking it's funny. However I like it more when it's not done as a studio recording and just randomly done in thin air when the three of you are talking.

Good to know you only talked about the fantasy football thing for a few minutes. I was in and out a couple times and heard it both times and I was thinking - Please tell me Mac hasn't gone to the depths of sports radio hell.

I don't have a problem with fantasy football talk IF it's pre-season, and we're evaulating sleepers, who's going to break out or bust, things like that. With this kind of conversation, you can also talk about the NFL in general. I hate the 'who do you start' questions.
