Those zombies in Virginia were much harder to fend off than previous zombies. I wonder if there are any metrics to measure this. Maybe those zombies have quick twitch muscles.

There wasn't much you could do with Tyreese though. Daryl fills his role on the TV show so you can't really have another badass best friend of Rick right-hand man. So, I understand why they tried to do something different. It just never worked.

His character ended up being kinda similar to Cutty on The Wire.

Didnt want to be part of that world anymore.

Now that they've added a new black guy (Noah), I pretty much expected this to be the end of Tyrese.

 Two minutes before Tyrese was bitten, I said to my wife that with the recent additions of Gabriel and Noah, one of the black characters would be killed off soon.

Well, they added Gabriel, and killed Bob, so that keeps the add a black guy, kill a black guy streak going.

If they add a black woman to the cast, say goodbye to Sasha.

plus Morgan should be showing up soon...and don't forget the priest. They had to get rid of Bob and Tyrese, this is Walking Dead, not Roots.

Tyrese is another comic book character that didn't get a proper showing in the tv show. Him and Andrea. But on the flipside you have characters like Carol who is a much better character on tv than she was in the comics.

I thought his death showed us a side of people we haven't seen since episode one..that being people who eventually give up and want to leave the world. Remember, the time between Beth's death and Tyrese's death was a long time (they had traveled 500 miles in between) and they had been on the road that entire time....it has to be similar to battle fatigue only much worse since at least in battle you have some places that are relatively safe to be at in between the fighting. Not so much when your enemy numbers in the millions and billions like it does with zombies. Michonne touched on this in the ep when she said they had been on the road too long and needed a rest.

I actually thought they were going to steal Carol's comic book death scene and have Tyrese willingly let the other twin brother (he never did show up last night) bite him and put him out of his misery. After all, as his dead friends kept telling him, its ok to let go.

So what was up with all the corpses cut into pieces and all the heads being in the back of that truck? We're those zombies that were killed or were they normal people who were killed by bad people?

Easy to say from your couch. Let's see how you or anyone does in a situation when its life or death every second and you've been at it for years. You don't think you'd eventually let your guard down every once in a while???? Its virtually impossible to be on mental alert every second of every day.

Tyrese was killed because he's the lead on some new show, FWIW.

Yeah....not really

Scott Gimple, our fearless mad genius showrunner, called me up and said, “Hey, Chad, it’s midseason and I’m kind of checking in with everybody. Can you come by?” I said, “Scott, I’m kinda busy, I just had a new son.” He said, “Everybody’s coming by, please come see me.” So I went in and sat down and he said, “Well, the time has come for Tyreese.” I laughed and said, “Scott, stop playing, stop playing.” Then he teared up, literally, and I thought, “OK, this is real” and I said “wow, wow, wow” about 25,000 times.

I'd say it's more of a free/pay FF league argument. You see, when you win a free league, the natural response to is openly brag about how much of an expert you are.

Once this show is done once and for all will anybody be able to tell the difference in contributions between Tyrese and T-Dog?

It was a pretty decent episode last night and at least a new character has been introduced. I forget what Aaron's role was in the comics, it has been
too long since I read them.

I'm usually okay with 'slower' episodes, but this one was a drag.

Yep, nothing happened until about the last 20 seconds.

Just got back to this and started Season 4. What season is currently playing just so I know how far back I am?

I think they're in Season 5 right now. About half way through.

That's another big one. If everyone is already affected, why do those who get bit "wolf-out"?

I would guess that it's due to either the person profusely bleeding and thus bleeding to death or an infection brought about by the amount of bacteria in a zombies mouth.

I'd imagine a cut or gash brought about by anything would lead to big problems

It was bad. These type of episodes usually suck, they end up making the focus character(s) whiney bitches who I want to see killed in horrible, awful ways.

"No, I don't want water...I don't know if I can go on" STFU up Maggie you bitch.

And they could have accomplished the "everyone is losing hope" thing with a 15 minute set of scenes, didnt need a whole episode

I disagree. I think they needed an entire episode to truly convey to the viewers how bleak things are. By the end you had the feeling like you were watching an episode move in molassas (sp) which was a great parallel to how weak and slow the group had become due to lack of food and water.

If they had suffered for 15 minutes and then moved onto the next story it wouldn't have left a full effect on the viewer, despite what you guys think.

Considering he comes straight out of the comics it shouldn't be that hard to find out who he is.
