One of them dumbass Sunday NBC11:30am games.

At the Blues.

Kruger has 'em up 1-0.

Some good back-and-forth. Blues trying to goon it up like usual, but not working.

Crow and Elliot both pretty sharp so far.

Tarasenko's gonna be the death of us this year or next year.

Easy breakaway. I think Rozsival blew that open for him.

It didn't help that Oduya turned a nice keep-in on his part to basically igniting the breakaway in the same fell swoop.

Crow got pantsed, but he got pantsed by a budding superstar.

Add Rozsival and Oduya to Bowman's long list of "held on too long."

Seems like the refs are allowing a lot more goalie contact this year.
Remember when a skate in the crease would wave off a goal?

What a great game. Hawks look good. CH can't be happy about this!

Yeah, great game for Hossa. Less so from Toews. The four-point swing this weekend is huge for the Hawks. Can't catch Nashville, but the Blues may be vulnerable now. Gotta believe they play in the first round either way.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, chief. Hang on a minute. Are you sure you watched the right game? No way the Blackhawks could come in to St Louis and defeat such a powerhouse team stocked with such greatness and rich championship history. Don't think Ive ever seen such an array of talent. Gretzkys Oilers, LaFluers Habs and Trottiers Isles would be lucky to score a goal on these guys, let alone beat them on their own ice. Especially with such a shit captain and player like Toews . This season is for all intents and purposes over, the playing out of the string of games is just a prelude to the Blues winning 16 straight on their way to the Cup.

So now you're getting on their cock? jesus dude, you sure are one fickle front runner. Yep. Nashville is unbeatable now. Look out world, Nashville is comin' to breakfast and they're bringing' hell with them.

I enjoyed the game. Especially at the end when Blues could not get us out of their end to get the goalie off.

I don't think Nashville is going to go far in the playoffs, but a six-point lead is hard to blow this late in the season because teams like that get good at picking up the three-point games. I think they'll be like Colorado and go out in the first.

 And if it were the Hawks in front by 6 points with the hard charging Nashville Perds in second you'd be lamenting how tenuous that lead is and anything can happen with 30 games left in the season. No lead would be safe.

The dreaded 3 game lead.

Gunnarson and Jackman will be the death of the Blues as long as they're on the roster.

Plus/minus isn't perfect but Alex Pietrangelo is -3? He was supposed to be their cornerstone defenseman. From Norris candidate to this... With Shatty out for 2 months the Blues are in trouble.

He was directly responsible for the Tarasenko goal.

After that he played a lot better.

It was more of a combination of 3 players responsible for that goal. First Oduya for violating a cardinal rule of hockey...if you're a defenseman and you bring the puck deep into the offensive zone never throw it back into the slot unless you are 100% sure you are going to connect on the pass. Then Hossa for not covering for Oduya. Then Roszival for not turning his head to the left and realizing he was all alone on a 2 on 1.

I thought it was Toews' fault

Fair enough Shakes. I definitely oversimplified. Wing cardinal rule 101 on a defenseman zone entry is you cover the point.

I blame Q more on the Rozy front for playing him as much as he does. Maddening.

Q clearly doesn't like Rundblad who Stan gave up a 2nd round pick for.

Waiting for TVR to come back as a life saver is risky. Not a whole lot of sample size there.

I wish we had picked up Sheldon Brookbank at league minimum to play ten minutes in half the games and not fuck up too much.

Absolutely. Very capable last year for a 6/7 guy and likely a step or two faster than Rozy at this point.
