Great point. They should fire him.

Thank you.

There is a group of fans from every team in the NFL that hate their coach.

Yes but some of them are correct.

Very true, but I wouldn't say it is most.

McCarthy is doing such a good job he has to give up his playcalling as a way to take some of the heat off himself!

Didn't stop us from having expectations for the coach.

Glad to see so many haters on McCarthy, I still will enjoy him on the sidelines.

So McCarthy should be fired because:
1. Scorehead's Packers acquatainces believe he should
2. He hasn't won a Super Bowl since 2010
3. ?

I am convinced. Next man up! Packers DL coach! Take it from here buddy!

Explain why he is giving up play calling duty then. That is what a coach who is at least somewhat on the hot seat does.

I don't believe he is on the hot seat at all.

Focuses on game management instead of play-calling. Carroll, Harbaugh and Belichek all didn't call plays.

John Fox won't be calling plays. Is he on the hot seat?

So he just happened to decide now, after another playoff flameout with the league MVP, to do this?

I guess it could be true but pretty much every time the "I'll give up playcalling" card is played it is because there are questions about how good of a job the coach is doing.

Didn't Lovie Smith give up defensive playcalling at two different times over his Bears tenure? Must have been because he was so great at it.

McCarthy sees Clement could be better. Don't really see the problem.

I'm glad he doesn't let his ego get in the way. Maybe details later emerge that he was forced. If those occur then I'd start worrying about internal dissension.

Some coaches perhaps need to be more self-aware and recognize they aren't the smartest guy in the room.

Especially when you have the ball at the 1 yard line in the final seconds of the Super Bowl.

McCarthy is never the smartest guy in any room.

middle of the road coach riding on coattails...pretty much like all the Packers not named Rogers...except for Richard Rogers, he's riding coattails also

I'd like to know the 15 coaches better than him. Scorehead, feel free to chime in as well. I assume your list will start as follows:

1. Tresty

Pretty sad of you to be resorting to these tactics, I am sorry your Bears are bad.

Did they take the play calling away because he was too good at play calling?

I'd rank McCarthy in the 10-13 range in the league. Maybe that's being distorted because he has arguably the best QB of all time in his prime.

Where is it being reported that it was taken away? I have not seen this anywhere. Or this just a assumption?

When Fox has a 12 point lead and the ball with 4:00 left in the NFC Championship game, I am fully confident that he will not crap down his leg the way McCarthy did.

It never is reported as being "taken away".
