Well, the show was a pretty good listen earlier this morning. I tuned back in about 12:45 and Matty is saying that if you think Derrick Rose is _____ you're an idiot and you should stop watching basketball. This was followed by him calling everyone idiots for the next few minutes.

Shame on me for thinking he'd do anything differently.

He did get quite hostile there.

Yeah I put in the other tryout thread he went full Bernstein.

I really like Matty when he hosts. I don't understand what he is doing with the goofy persona that he adopts when doing updates for the B&B show. It's like 2 different people.

Completely agree. When I hear him host, I immediately get the urge to PTFB, since that's what his updates cause me to do, but I'll ride it out and it's usually a decent listen.

Didn't hear today.

But I've noticed when he hosts he's planned out the generic talk show thing by thinking of a few simple, boring topics and asking for calls and texts on the simple and boring topics.

Then he kind of gets bored with that and goes away from the script by just talking about stuff that comes in his mind at the moment. Killing time that way.

But the hostile, angry, yelling drinky often comes out of nowhere. Like he feels he has to do it cuz that's how Bernstein does it.

Drinky: ALL OF YOU CALLERS AND TEXTERS ARE GIVING THE WRONG OPINION ON MY GENERIC, BORING TOPIC. YOUR STUPID. YOU HEAR ME? DUMB. ALL OF YOU. I HATE ALL OF YOU. I HOPE YOU ALL DIE!!!!!! IN FACT, I HOPE ISIS CAPTURES YOU AND SETS YOU ON FIRE.

As a listener you find yourself saying "What the hell? Why did this happen? What the hell is wrong with him?"

It didn't take me long to PTFB when he jumped on a caller just about to explain his opinion- it sounded like what you guys describe Bernstein doing, and I wanted no part of it. Too bad to waste a couple of Pat's last days like that.
