if john fox cant handle a diva WR then he isnt a good coach... this crusade to get rid of marshall now.... a full 3 years after he was acquired is "ludicrist". they should have been outraged more about his antics when he became a bear because for the most part save for yelling at robbie gould and being a media whore he's not had serious legal trouble.

i personally think he has 1 if not 2 productive years left, i dont subscribe to its going to take 3 years BS that the bears have asked Danny to push on us.... this is the NFL where you can go from good to bad in one off-season.

It is just Bernsie's BS. He will be here and break records. He is an idiot or a psychotic master manipulator you choose. Fox had Steve Fucking Smith.

No. I disagree. Make the regular season a test. You play 82 games, which is enough time to separate the worthy from the rest.

Not with point inflation it isn't. Do you see how hard it is to finish with fewer than 82 points in a season where multiple teams aren't trying to tank? The NHL regular season doesn't tell you shit, and that's the way the NHL wants it. They want everyone to think they're in it. 30-26-12? Hey, 72 points with 14 games to go, we're right in this thing! (Despite having lost 38 games through five months.)

The NHL used to let 16 teams in when there were only 21 teams. They took the top four teams from the divisions, so all you had to do was not finish fifth (or sixth in the Patrick). Legitimately horrible teams made the playoffs every year. One of them, the '91 North Stars, went all the way to the Final. I don't think the current situation is nearly as bad.

The stupid SO and OT point rules need to change. Remember when a 100 point season was a thing?

Terry just told me as I turned on the stream. Cleveland wasn't interested last Thursday in playing the Bulls.

The regular season only matters to the Bulls, and it's generally about the weaknesses/issues with the team. The regular season doesn't matter to other NBA teams. That's why Bernstein finds it laughable that the Bulls could beat the Warriors in a series; why Atlanta and Cleveland would take care of the Bulls in a series.

They may be right, but it's pretty clear, they don't apply the same scrutiny to other NBA teams like they do to the Bulls.

You've been successfully trolled.

A little while back this afternoon Dan had to also tell us how the Bears best players are not leaders. Once again Cutler and Marshall HAVE to go. I'd bet this idiots a grand both are on the roster opening game this year.

The Marshall 'inside' reports are just laughable. These two went in 100% that there was no way he'd be back on the team, that ownership told GM candidates that Marshall not being on the team was something they would have to agree to when taking the job, etc. Now, of course, the back tracking is in full gear; Pace now has the final call, and management still hates Marshall, one year after giving him a contract extension. They can say anything they want, and just say management agrees.

Yep.

and the next great WR that they get will cause headaches as well because they all seem to

Do you like Dez Bryant? Are his off field issues and game day histrionics any more or less distracting than Marshall's?

PM, I agree. I am sick of the constant move to expand playoffs in sports be it the MLB, NFL, or NCAA. It is already a joke in the NBA and NHL. It is ok if good teams do not make the playoffs, but it is a shame when marginal to weak teams make it. The regular season is supposed to mean something, and there are enough games to decide who is truly worthy. The larger the playoff pool, the more meaningless the regular season. There should never be talk that the regular season does not matter, but with the NBA and NHL it is largely irrelevant. Pretty much any half way decent team makes the playoffs. Imagine an April game between the Hawks and Blues or Cavs and Bulls deciding who gets to make it into the playoffs? The drama would be awesome.

 Have you seen the Western Conference? The East may be as you just said, but the West is a dogfight between many deserving teams.

So does Thibs overuse the players or not?

Rogue brings up a good point about Jordan's minutes, but times have changed.
