I'll just buy you a fucking stereo if you want a stereo that badly!

Anyway, the Wings have been dominant as of late, how much of that is Eastern Conference puffery I can't say because I haven't looked closely, but they're rolling. The Hawks can certainly get up for this one and put on a hell of a hockey game and certainly win (Howard's been a little shaky coming off injury), but if they take the night off as is their wont, it'll be a bloodbath by the end of the first.

I think the wings have lost their last 2 or 3. might account for Detroit being +185 vs -170 for the Blackhawks

They've lost 3 in a row, the last 2 at home.

They were in first place in the division recently, maybe first in the East. They're down to third now because Montreal stopped allowing goals.

"Hey Edzo, do you think video studies help the Red Wings?"

Yes, Pierre, the Red Wings have really found an edge over the rest of the league by watching game tape, you oily fuck.

Yeah, even tho Detroit's lost a few in a row, they looked alright against Montreal the other night. Playing to a 0-0 draw for about 58 minutes before giving up a goal. The Habs tacked on an empty-netter to win 2-0 and make my Canadiens by 1.5 goals bet come in.
Wings Zetterberg didn't look that good to me on face-offs but turned out that statistically he owned the Habs on the dot.

CH is the man. Love me some CH. He's a bit down on the Hawks every year but hey.

I was pretty positive until they did their customary January fade. I said I'd deal with it but I can't help it! It's hard to watch them suck the way they do.

They're dominating the offensive zone so far. Pretty fucking good, just got to net one.

Excellent period so far, especially during and after the power play. Hawks look refreshingly energized.

Same ... I was laughing at the Pierre prose and I didn't really think boyd was making fun of CH ... even if it's not for everyone, it's semi-cogent and thoughtful enough to be worthy of some level of respect. The "It's Still Real To Me" type moments are acceptable.

Clearly offside on the goal but I just think of it as cashing in the one they owed us for the Jeff Carter offside goal last summer. Great through two periods, nothing will be for lack of trying tonight.

Shit.

That bad pass by Saad was the catalyst, but the sloppy defense did them in.
