I don't understand why this is even being talked about? Who cares if the guy is gay??? Why is that even a subject?

Do you post a comment every time a show brings in a black guy or an Asian?

Pointing out that a character is gay just for the sake of pointing it out is a classic example of passive aggressive bigotry.

I agree but it IS a problem for a lot of people

Two guys in my office who watch have said they'll stop watching if Daryl becomes gay.

Both guys will tell you "hey man, to each their own" but that doesnt extend to their tv heroes

I thought we passed this with Omar

We're all friends here, you don't have to talk about yourself by saying its a guy from the office.

I hope Daryl turns out to be gay just to piss off people like that.

Seriously. And these two guys have watched the show longer and are way bigger fans.

And one of them is a "The Wire" guy and his favorite character is Omar. Its crazy.

I think it's possible for viewers to de-emphasize Omar's homosexuality since he's so aggresively masculine, a trait that contradicts stereotypes of homosexual identity.

I enjoyed last night's episode. Kudos for not hashing out the journey to the new camp over many, many episodes like they did with Terminus.

Just finished Season 4.

I'm going to say that being stuck in the traincar at Terminus is not an immediate threat but a cultish ploy to make people feel reborn when they walk out.

Do they address who is leaving all the one word judgement cards on the corpses throughout the entire second half of season 4. It seemed like it was Governor's work when he first saw it but then there was "rich bitch" in the country club (but Governor did like golf) and at least one other occurrence of it.

Ummmm. . .

. . . Not to spoil, but . . .

No.

I was reading through CSFMB observations of the episode and noticed I missed a lot. I saw the bones in the courtyard at Terminus but completely forgot about them. I didn't hear anyone else in train cars.

I thought the "prayer room" they ran through were slogans that anyone on the run for so long would have thought and it was an attempt by a cult to break down their defenses. I thought there was something in the food to make them passive and that this would be kind of like an island of lotus eaters. I thought that would be the only way they overpowered Glen and his group.

I missed the signs.

Given the zombie abilities as defined by the show, it would that there would be many, many institution type places that would serve as a secure home for a group and a place that could run self sufficiently.

It seems odd that no one asked the scientist what his secret key to saving the world is. I know he seems socially awkward but he likes his womens and has a big ego. He should be willing to give out that information just to show off.

So much to learn. You haven't even seen Rick's death yet.

I know. And he's not even to the part where Carl pop his cherry yet!

Carl gets brain washed and turned by the gay commune in Alexandria and Rick, rightly, tries to kill him and all the other pole smokers.

The Brokebackers have filled Hell, now there is no more room so the (non gay) dead walk the Earth.

I don't really remember much about how the group integrates into the Alexandria community in the comics but I did enjoy this episode as a sort of
transition into this new locale. Showing the group trying to avoid getting soft and complacent in the new cushy surroundings. The father/ son
bonding of slaughtering zombies made me chuckle. I am curious to find out more about the teenaged girl and if she is the only one that is in town
or if others made it. She seems damaged much like Carl is so has probably seen much more beyond the walls than the other boys had seen.

On another tangent -- Did anyone else notice in some of the first episodes back from the break that Glen was using a baseball bat as a weapon?
I haven't seen it in the last couple episodes but thought that was curious.

Last episode was just kinda meh.... Carol had he best scene of the night in my opinion when she was talking to the kid and scaring him. Only 3 episodes left in this season.
I wonder if they end up finding Negan in the finale. Something has to happen as it has gotten a little boring living safely behind the walls.

I disagree, I was tired of them in the woods and on the road constantly. Its nice to see them in a safe place acting normal.

I thought it was a great episode.

Obviously, Carol is gonna be found out for stealing the chocolate.

At the very end when Rick is walking down the street there is a very clear shot of the street sign above his head. Morgan St or Ave.
Pretty obvious foreshadowing but wasn't sure if anyone else noticed it. This show has been doing some of that lately.

I also thought it was a great episode. But, I don't think they're acting normal at all.

They're acting "Zombie Apocalypse Normal" but not regular life normal. You can see that they are becoming the villains, the very people Rick warned her in their interview not to let in the gates. Rick's losing his mind about this girl - grabbing his gun as they walk past. Rick thinks they are invincible.

Carol and Sasha can't adapt.

Ironically, Daryl is the one that's starting to come around...and Michonne.

I need more Eugene, though. I needed to see him interact at that party although it might have been too distracting from the mood they were trying to set with the other characters.

Totally agree and that's what I meant by normal.

I had a feeling they would fuck up a great opportunity like Eugene at a party and I was right.

I just realized yesterday that the blonde is Moira from American Horror Story. Love me some Alexandra Breckenridge.

I heard that too, but even when I freeze the picture on her its almost impossible to see her as the red head maid from AHS. She looks totally different now.

Hopefully there will be some scenes with her on all 4s in a short skirt scrubbing the floor....that should job my memory but good. :D
