He absolutly should. I think Crawfords problems are upstairs.

His fault they lost today?

The second goal was on him. Just slow glove side. THe first was not. Rozsival's fault. Just let it happen. Crow was not sharp at all tonight.

Not entirely, but he has been bad of late. It seems like he has a concentration problem or something. He's let some pucks in that he had a good clean look at. We need him to be able to stand on his head when needed and he hasn't done that in a while. At best he is an average goalie. The Hawks would gladly take average from him now.

Crow would've had to allow 1 goal for a win today. You think rest of the team was up to the task to allow that to happen?

I'm kinda pissed Hartman never got to throw. There is no way in hell he would have looked as stupid as Carcillo did today in that one sided scrap.

Ok, Crow has been bad. I don't really even think that's up for debate.
Normally, he can be bad for a stretch, as any goalie does... goalies are like pitchers like that. Up years. Down years. It happens. He's usually got a stout defense behind him but this year, he's got problems in front of him. Oduya and Rozsival have been awful. Simply terrible. And Seabrook hasn't been very Seabrookian, and that's largely a symptom of declining ability over the last couple years. He's past his prime.
That being said, the offense isn't picking either Crawford nor the defense up. You've got several players who just plain play like shit. Richards, Sharp, Bickell, Saad... not getting it done.

This team isn't very good this year. They need five forwards and three defensemen and maybe Crow can look good again.

Darling just got a new contract. Interesting timing.

But this is the end. They have a long way to go before they'll contend again. They'll have had seven strong years with at least two Cups. That's more than a lot of teams get. We had our fun. Now it'll be other teams' turns for a few years.

The team isn't as good as we thought they were.

The only players living up to their pedigree are....

Kane
Line 1 sometimes
Keith
Seabrook
Hammer
Versteeg
Crawford sometimes
TVR till he got hurt

Everyone else has been hot garbage. The lack of scoring from our bottom two lines has been THE major offensive issue this year. Poor play from our bottom 3 defensemen has been the major issue defensively.

Frankly, this team has gotten really old really fast. Richards, Roszival, Oduya, Sharp are well into their 30s and have all had disastrous seasons - especially Sharp (injury absence notwithstanding). Richards has been a bust, and Roszival and Oduya just plain awful. Hossa's been OK. Seabs and Keith are in their early 30s, but have been good and great, respectively, this season. Crawford has had a good first half, and a lousy second half.

The rest of the roster, with the exception of Kane has been in a malaise: Bickell and Shaw underperforming, Saad about where he was last season; did not break out quite as expected this season...

Let's throw this out there: overall, even with the deficiencies above, this team on paper is much more talented than the way it has played - [beardown] arguably since the death of Reif...anyone think the Sharp rumors have some fire, or other related or not-so-related behind-the-scenes stuff is distracting this team? Is it possible that maybe Q is wearing out his welcome? [/beardown].

I don't expect a major deal to be done during this season before the deadline, but I would think Sharp and Rosizival (if Oduya's not hurt long-term) will be the first ones out the door when the opportunity strikes.
