They're "talking between the lines" again. Sharp fucked the widow, didn't he.

Something about a character on Arrested Development Junior getting impregnated by a Blackhawk and the very interesting timing. The real scoop here is that Dan thinks that show is good.

I know, right? Talk about having to read between the lines.

Yes, and the actress in question was Elizabeth Banks.

So Bernstein is basically dropping hints that Patrick Sharp impregnated the widower of the trainer that died? THAT'S BAD OPTICS.

I think that lady had 4 or 5 kids. I remember reading that when he died. The Hawks had a huge fundraiser for her.

wow, giving myself a pat on the back since I don't watch that show (not even hate watch, like B&B every second!).

IMDB only has her in 5 episodes. She was on 15 eps of '30 Rock' (not a junior of anything, damnit).

I swear every Monday in transition we get the weekend youth hockey report. Nobody gives a shit that you spent 2 days watching bad hockey.

As Bernstein would say, I have a story about Sharp and one of my friends from a few years ago.

Dan going HAM on paternalism in sports after years of being oddly paternal toward Rose. Someone must have given him a position paper.

Not allowing freshman to play football and basketball is "discriminatory" according to Dan?

Well if they don't do it for the tennis or golf team, he may be on to something.

I can only guess based on prior expressed opinions you'd be cool with the NCAA doing whatever, so I'm almost afraid to ask how you can 'well, actually...' a freshman ineligibility rule.

Well, if they let white people play as freshman too then he'd be on to something, but they aren't.

I don't really see the point of it. I'd rather they just give every player 5 years to play 4.5 seasons.

That's how I felt about Voltron.

Pretty sure Bernstein is now targeting me.

He wants college sports to go away and says they are "obsolete".

They're certainly antiquated. They do have uses for, um...athletic departments, and I suppose to a lesser extent professional leagues too cheap to invest in a proper minor league.

(edited to add: and gamblers!)

This sounds like a pretty cruddy show today though.

How are they antiquated? It seems to me they are doing pretty well and it is ok that they aren't the NFL or NBA.

Especially during a year in which the West Lafayettans may go to the dance!

I dunno. It's a show about affluent white people spouting off puns as they get into zany antics. Seems to me that's right in Dan's pop-culture wheelhouse.

for a good few months, my wife and i watched them almost every night as they were on usa i believe and arre to the point where we've seen them all i'm certain. the show started off great and had a good long run. now that the two boys are older they aren't nearly as funny and to be honest, i've realized besides phil, they were the only other things i really truly enjoyed. its pretty labor intensive to watch the new ones now.

arrested development is/was good. i thought it was very clever and while i didn't have much high hopes for the netflix release, i thought it too was good. its not the game changing show many people made it out to be but it was good.

Agreed on those two boys. They grew up and both are uninteresting. The one I hate the most is that adopted daughter. It's like they chose any baby to play the role and are afraid to fire her as she gets older. That girl has no business acting.
