I just finished watching the episode, and that line had me rolling, so much that I planned on adding it to this thread as soon as I logged on. So clever.

The Office was pretty good tonight. Some of the Dwight stuff was a little over the top, and I suspect that W_Z didn't like all of the Jim and Pam stuff. It was a very good Darryl episode, though. "I can't help but get excited when that little dude walks through the door."

One line I liked a lot was when the Indian girl said "What kind of person says what's on their mind? What kind of game is that?" Don't know if that was improved or written but either way, it was clever.

I'm just ready for the show to go back to being 30 minutes. I really don't know why NBC felt the need to run the show an hour instead of just running a rerun at 8:30pm since I'm pretty sure the regular start time will be 8:00pm.

The weird thing was, for a lot of the hour long episodes this year, a lot of subplots were either uninteresting or didn't really go anywhere. The thing with Michael being broke just seemed unnecessary and dull. No real big jokes out of that. The Jim and Pam saga = we get it. They're a happy couple. And yeah, we all know something'll happen to break them up eventually.

Liked Dwight's farm sequence a lot for the fact that it felt very Halloweenish and downright bizarre. And the outhouse scene was a howler.

Darryl's one of my favorite characters. They could use him a lot more.

Where was Toby?

WHERE WAS CREED?

Oh I forgot...they want us to continue to fall in love with Jim and Pam...so that it'll be SO heartbreaking when they do break up...which WILL happen.

The Office was just okay last night. Would have been much better without the almost depressing storyline of Michael being broke. I would have liked him to nut up and give that psycho what's coming to her but maybe another time. Didn't really get where it was going though. It seemed like they used it just to fill time between what would have been the main storyline of Dwight and the beet farm.

They both had lines. Toby was in the scene where they were arguing over the use of who and whom, and Creed also had a line in that scene and he also had a good bit about the secret identity he pushes off all of his debt onto.

I thought that all three shows were good this week. I'd give the night as a whole a 9/10.

YES! This was what I was talking about. GREAT stuff for "30 Rock", I'm claiming BEST episode of the season so far (God Baldwin is great), and "The Office" just feels so much more comfortable at 30 minutes, and an HILARIOUS episode. The song...man that was classic.

Great stuff tonight!

Great lines from the night:

"Who's crazier: Me or Ann Curry?"

"Dunder Mifflin: Providing you limitless paper, in a paperless world"

All four shows were solid last night, it's ashame that crap ass shows like two and half men and pretty much any other piece of crap they throw on cbs and abc get higher ratings. In my opinion the current lineup is better than anything they threw out there during the "must see" years, see caroline in the city and several other shows that weren't actually funny. Mad About You comes to mind as well.

This is NBC's best Thursday night lineup. I love all the sitcoms, except Scrubs. Too bad more people don't watch, instead of watchig crap like Ugly Burrito and whatever CSI is on CBS.

My favorite scene of the night was when Tracey and Jack went to the therapist. Great stuff.

Earl-8/10
30 Rock-9.5/10
Office-9/10

i agree, if you exclude 'scrubs'. that may be the unfunniest (i'm making that a word) show ever.

it's interesting to see the shift of nbc-thursday. in the 90s, it was dominated by "chick-friendly" shows like 'friends' and 'caroline'. now, it's geared towards cynical, smart comedies that generally have male fans.

I don't remember Caroline being on Thursdays. I thought you guys all had a thing for her.

The comedies are great but I miss the Cosby/Family Ties shows a little.

Scrubs sucks but it seems to have quite a following. ER hasn't been relevant in 10 years.

I didn't like scrubs at first either but after giving it another chance it is probably imo one of the funniest shows on TV. Last year was not its best but the first few seasons were brilliant.

Not sure how reliable this is but here is a heads up on the next few episodes of the office.

59. Branch Wars
First aired: 11/1/2007 Karen returns in an attempt to lure Stanley away from Scranton. When Michael objects, he brings Jim into the war. The other office workers are disturbed by a "Finer Things Club."
Director: Joss Whedon

60. Survivor Man
First aired: 11/8/2007 Michael goes on a survival adventure into the woods - with nothing except the suit on his back - in retaliation of not getting an invite to a similar party from corporate. Back at the office, there is a birthday going on while Jim tries to revolutionize the party.

61. The Deposition
First aired: 11/15/2007 When Jan sues Dunder Mifflin, Michael is deposed as a witness. Kelly and Pam practice their trash talk when Darryl plays Jim at ping pong.

Fixed. That episode had some great lines, Oscar's possibly being the best.

That may have been one of the best 30 Rocks ever.

I thought that having Ross on the show would suck, but they had him play a tool, which he's had a lot of experience doing, and it worked. I also loved the Al Gore stuff. 10/10

As for Cerie, I'll give her a 10 also. [drool]
