As a "real life" lawyer I always laugh at Danny's attempts to tell us what lawyers are thinking or "terrified over". Contrary to what he says, we love it when shit hits the fan. The bigger the mess, the more money we make.

When discussing the diamondbacks tv deal Dan wasn't sure why this was against new trending thoughts. He did add though the Cubs were happy. The Cubs cant do this until 2020 or something right as their deals are fractured with different endings? Also even at a lesser amount than Cubs potential wouldn't the sox also get new style deal if these hold up?

Thats what I heard too. Not sure if Dan was just speaking generally about how the organization was quiet about the Reif tragedy and now they are also being quiet about the Sharp rumors, or if he was actually insinuating he thought Sharp had something to do with Reif's suicide. I thought it was odd he talked about both things as if they were related.

If thats true...Jesus. But if thats not true, Dan needs to back that down real quick, because thats a fucked up thing to throw out there.

That's how I took what he was saying. Bernstein is speaking around it cuz he doesn't want to get sued if it's not true. But you can put it together. Since he didn't actually say it, he's safe.

the doug gottlieb sports minute was absolutely fantastic. i thought i heard synapses in Dan's brain snap on air.

i turned off my streaming because i could not fathom listening to more than 10 minutes of radio about rushing the court. let alone taking calls. gottlieb happened 2 minutes after i got int he truck to go home. so great.

I remember Dan doing an impassioned show about court-storming eight years ago. I wrote in a WYC about it that week and everything. There is nothing new under the sun, though I'm told that the sun does have a lot of moving parts at this time.

Fucking a child in the ass and running on the court to celebrate your team's victory should both be felony crimes. That would stop it right there.
