There's a battle. The good guys are winning. Then the bad guys are winning. Finally something happens and the good guys win. Repeat twice a movie and make it take up 1/2 tho movie in total. Call me Tolkien Jackson.

In fairness, that pretty much describes every action movie ever made.

It's okay. Leonard Nimoy never heard of Dan Bernstein.

Lord of the Wu-Tang sword, know what that means?
Like J.R. Tolkien, it's the Lord of the Rings

I heard a little bit of the end where Barry Rozner confirmed everything that Dan Bernstein had been hearing from his Blackhawk source who is almost certainly Barry Rozner.

That feedback loop makes sense as BernSTINE doesn't really have any sources.

How would Rozner know anytbing?

This is the kind of stuff that makes me think Bernstein is a weirdo. Why lie about this stuff? So people can be shocked by it? I see why he lies about his sources, it's why brian from the breakfast club lied about having a girlfriend in Canada. I have no idea who Dr. Spock is. Yeah okay, never heard of him.

Great show today. Lots of great insight, and Terry was pretty prickly today. Should make for good radio heading into Monday.

Pretty good interview. Terry obviously knows the subject matter and he came at it like the old newspaper man he is. This wasn't investigative journalism, but he asked questions that would give a listener who didn't know insight into Dave and how great (and humble) he really is. bernstein is at his best during interviews that are out of his comfort zone where he actually has to familiarize himself with the subject and he isn't such a know-it-all. In those rare instances he comes off as extremely professional.

Which lane is the correct/smart/right lane?

We (this board) has kicked around the appropriateness of taking on the forum subject's family (wife and/or children) despite the way they are thrust into the public/social conscious. So, I've kind of picked the lane of not singling out the children and leaving the wife in the third person.

But when the same forum subject has no problem with making innuendo about a player on a recurring basis, thus in turn thrusting that player's family into the social consciousness, I have to question the purpose of not taking on the forum subject's family in this forum. Just because you are related to an athlete shouldn't mean you should be forum fodder, this forum or any other.

So, I've decided to choose the lane that since a person has no problem with spreading innuendo at the expense of hurting the subject's family, that they in turn should not be afforded any similar considerations. The Sharp talk is indecent, and thus the source is indecent.

I'm sorry, but is that what they actually said?

WOW!....fashionably ignorant. They know it will illicit a reaction. I never watched Star Trek either, but I sure know who the actors were. They have been all over the place since that show.

Great call, but one must match with the Score Kings methodology by being vague enough that you can't be liable for slander but can be specific enough that everyone knows exactly who and what second hand gossip you're insinuating.

Example: The maker of the cardboard boxed wine in a bottle must stop advertising on WSCR and move on to ESPN.
This isn't because he can't give Schmutzie affordable wine prices. It's because my source at Score Groupies Anonymous tells me he's canoodling with the female version of Birdman while a certain WSCR host is searching for crappy bars without a GPS.

I've never watched a single TV episode of Star Trek.

I watched a couple episodes of TNG when it would be on channel 50. I don't think I really got it.

Mr. Spock is as recognizable a cultural icon as Uncle Sam or Buddha. Doesn't necessitate that anyone understand the backstory or ethos, but to say they don't register is disingenuous.

Ditto here, except I've never seen any of the movies either. Not a whiff of Star Trek anything.

And yet, you all know exactly who Spock is.

I know who Newman was in Seinfeld too, and that show sucked.

I didn't think we were discussing the relative merits of Star Trek, but rather how foolish it sounds for any American in his forties who isn't completely braindead to suggest he has no clue who Leonard Nimoy/Mr. Spock is.

I have no idea what was being discussed, I just agreed that I never saw the ST TV show

Did he ever actually say he didn't know spock or was that just a funny thread title.

I'm not sure. I thought he couldn't have actually said that, but posts in the thread made me think he did.

Dan said he was most familiar with Leonard Nimoy for hosting Jewish holiday specials on public radio, possibly the one thing more implausible than not knowing who Mr. Spock is.
