He did. I'm just saying this could be the game changer. Don't dismiss that.

No, probably not at first...but don't those teams see what he's done to McDonough after what was done for him? What he's done in regards to the Bears even though they are on a sister station (the one the Cubs are now on)? He has a pattern and if this time nothing happens he'll up the ante. This is the guy identified as a racist in national media, called female athletes wildebeasts, and went after an entire University...he'll escalate until told no, and then he won't understand why what he did was wrong.

If only Patrick Sharp was fat.

Bernsie would still be able to talk smack on #10 free and clear.

But unless John McDonough is actually whispering in his ear why would he trash the Blackhawks? His kid loves hockey and Dan is afraid of balcks. So why burn bridges just for the sake of ratings?

I think there is a 50-50 chance that he finally loses. If not being fired, he'll at least be neutered over this.

He at least lost leverage for his next contract. It's THE SCORE or nothing for him. Nobody else in town will hire him. Zim knows it. Zim gets his price.

Like he did with Danny Mac?
You post some incredibly stupid stuff at times.

I notice a lot of guest on this thread. More than you would think for a Sunday night. Whenever Score stuff breaks, it's always Score people.

Hi, Mitch :hockey:

He's always resented the pressure to talk about the Blackhawks, and he's always resented McDonough's Svengali-like power over the rest of the media to fawn over the Hawks in ways he deems unacceptably non-objective -- members of the media openly rooting for the Hawks or wearing sweaters, people at the Score growing playoff beards, stuff like that.

I don't think McDonough is steering him on this at all. To run a well-marketed player out of town through the media for conduct unbecoming would go against everything he's tried to build for the last eight years. You can go back years on this board and find posts about how Dan is happy to take his free tickets to Hawks games and still shit on the team's operations. I'm surprised McDonough has gone on the show as much as he has; Dan has demonstrated only the most begrudging of respect, if not contempt, for the way McDonough has run the business operations of both the Cubs and the Blackhawks.

For some reason Mitch/Zim love Mac. Don't think they love Bernstein. There is the difference. Either way, Zim loves money. He's gonna use the leverage even if the sign Bernstein back. That's not stupid. I win.

Was McDonaugh whispering in Dan's ear when Dan insinuated on the air that Kaner was banging girls under the age of 18? C'mon.

Speaking of scumbags, Scott Walker's taking credit for Reagan's line about July 4th/April 15th?

Did Zim get Mac at his price?

No.

You lose.

Again.

Do you think that it simply comes down to McDonough not being part of the tribe but Jerry and Theo are? Is it that simplistic? Not attempting to be an anti-semite (or anti-denti for that matter).

That's cuz Mac wanted music. Bernstein still has young kids and no options. He needs his 400k per year cuz he can't get it else where. I WIN.

But the Hawks are a finesse team that shuns fighting, embraces analytics AND is all about the #brand. Why would Dan break bad on that?

I wouldn't say it's that simplistic, but it certainly doesn't help. I've always suspected the WASPiness of the Tribune Company was a big reason he was never too positive about the Cubs until the regime change.

It helps. No doubt. But Bernstein is on the side of the very Catholic McCaskeys. So it's not what it's all about. But, of course, if you're Jewish, Dan will give you every benefit of the doubt.

You think he has the same respect for McDonough and Bowman that he has for, say, Rick Hahn?

Bernstein likes Jewish people more than non Jewish people. That's a fact. Let's not fight about it.

Move on to other pressing issues.

No, I don't think the little jealous putz likes anyone.

I actually think he worries about his wife stepping out on him. Which I certainly wouldn't blame her.
He is no prize.

However, if I had Sharpe's millions, I would punish him by filing a lawsuit against them and let them run to pay
lawyers to defend them. Very costly for them.

What would happen if Sharp contacted either Zim or Mitch and said fire Berns or I sue?

They'd call his bluff cuz they know he won't. Sharp's camp wouldn't to it anyway. That's a small time move. You either sue or you don't. Calling them with that threat means you know you can't win.

That only works on CSN when female reporters indicate the tremendous amount of sex the Hawk's players have had.
