I think you are selecting some of the games that don't go so well. The NBA has plenty too. Would you judge the NBA on the Knicks and Sixers?

Of course not. There is alot of bad NBA out there, especially during the regular season.

The college game, even in the tournament has these problems. Very sloppy play at times.

By the way, college basketball desperately needs to shorten the shot clock.

Well the average NBA possession is about 18 seconds. The average college possession is about 22. Not really a huge difference.

It's not false. There are superior ballhandlers in college who will never sniff the NBA or will have nothing more than the proverbial cup of coffee. Those skills aren't critical to the way the game is played.
As a rule, the press is beat through passing, not dribbling. Pressing in the NBA leads to mis-matches in both numbers and position. A 3 on 2 in the NBA almost always leads to a dunk or lay-up. That's because of speed, experience and offensive skills. With the possible exception of Kentucky, even good college teams have guys who don't know what to do to take advantage of a numbers edge. Many are happy just to beat the press and re-start the offense. This is particularly the case for teams coached by micro-managers that are so prevalent at that level.

That's all true, but a guy who can handle the ball will hold up better in the face of pressure. Historically, the NBA has had many teams that didn't even really have what one might call a true college point guard and gotten by that way just fine.

Why does consummate reporter Dan Bernstein suggest that you can look on the internet and find out that this Sharp stuff started a year ago?

Is that what passes for reporting these days? I am to trust everything I read on the internet?

Dan: I am told there were multiple discussions with multiple teams to move Sharp. It's a very complicated story and it will continue to get more complicated. This is going in multiple directions. There are good roads and bad roads. If you want to find out all the salacious details, it's all out there for you.

Who is the "pin cushion" they are referring to as being involved?

It's a way to wash one's hands of blame for spreading the rumors.

Bernstein was the one that always said if people are wrongly accused why don't the get a lawyer ie Lance Armstrong. Sharp gets a lawyer and it isn't a good idea ....huh?

Someone needs to whiteboard this one, and also the Jack Brickhouse story for me. I'm sick and fucking tired of the references.

So, I take it that BernSTINES latest foray into making up sources and engaging in slander my be a bridge too far, this time?

Best thing to happen to Bernsie was the Duke stuff, so he can focus on that instead of the Blackhawks/Sports Mockery situation. And Spiegel probably knew he would go that way so he wanted to be sure that it was talked about. Good job, Purple.

Except that everyone here is listening. Same reason Rush is gainfully employed and the jokers on Fox News. Ratings. And I am with you on the Bernsie hate.

Duke bashing is the first story before Sale's injury, Sharp addressing the allegations, Butler's injury/Bulls future, Hawks trades, and NFL franchise tag/cut day? PTFB...I'll get the summary of the show from this board once again.

B&B are pulling in ratings. I won't stop saying it until they stop getting good ratings. #truthhurts

No, when I see what direction the show is headed, I don't listen. The couple days of Rose's injury and the Bears dismissal/hiring of new management were good. The show more often than not is pretty negative and preachy; kind of sad to see what B&B have become.

That's fine. You like what you like. But it's totally subjective. You can't criticize college basketball as being inferior due to poor shooting and then say it doesn't matter when I point out how NBA teams are actually more inefficient on offense.

But like I said, its not all about offense. Some of those missed shots are due to great defense in the NBA

I didnt say it doesnt matter

I gave you 8 reasons(some may be only partially game play related).

The NBA has better players who can jump higher and are faster. If that is your point then just say that. Don't say the actual game play is better in every way.

Isnt jumping higher and running faster better gameplay?
