As a rule, the press is beat through passing, not dribbling. Pressing in the NBA leads to mis-matches in both numbers and position. A 3 on 2 in the NBA almost always leads to a dunk or lay-up. That's because of speed, experience and offensive skills. With the possible exception of Kentucky, even good college teams have guys who don't know what to do to take advantage of a numbers edge. Many are happy just to beat the press and re-start the offense. This is particularly the case for teams coached by micro-managers that are so prevalent at that level.

That's all true, but a guy who can handle the ball will hold up better in the face of pressure. Historically, the NBA has had many teams that didn't even really have what one might call a true college point guard and gotten by that way just fine.

No, when I see what direction the show is headed, I don't listen. The couple days of Rose's injury and the Bears dismissal/hiring of new management were good. The show more often than not is pretty negative and preachy; kind of sad to see what B&B have become.
