I've been trying to listen to the show more and more lately, but I can't do another Penn State thing, and that's clearly what they are trying to turn this Duke situation into, regardless of how few parallels there are between the two.

Also love Dan teasing the reading of the AD's statement with "we'll read the statement and let you interpret it however you like" and then read the statement and proceed to tell you why there are holes in said statement.

Even further, the ultimate decision on such issues is deferred to the local alderman and not the mayor's office. Rahm didn't even make this decision...but unsophisticated Dan would have no idea about those procedures.

Where do you think Phase I of Rickettsville ranks on total investment in the city right now? I would bet the current phase of renovation is comparatively tiny. Yet heaven and earth were supposed to be moved for the project.

Here is the MUCH more likely scenario: Cubs asked for the dispensation for public relations reasons. They knew it would be rejected because it is both illogical and fairly unprecedented. Above and beyond all this THEY WANTED IT TO BE REJECTED because the 24 hour work would have increase costs well beyond budget.

With the new CBS cross platform partnership with the Cubs, and the White Sox in the last year of their contract with WSCR, I think WBBM is just a bridge to the Cubs moving to The Score in 2016.

I'd be fine with the Cubs on the Score from a listening-to-the-radio standpoint. I mean, the Yankees are on WFAN now, so nothing's sacred anymore. 780 just has a lot of interference whenever I try to listen.
