Under seems a safe bet, as the Administration doesn't want old Yellen raising interest rates.

But Yellen's so dovish on the economy I don't see her raising rates all this year regardless:

They can't raise rates in any appreciable way for a long, long time....maybe decades.

Stock market is hooked on cheap money, corporations are hooked and the federal government is hooked. Every report is always, "We will raise rates but the recovery is still too nascent and fragile...."

Start to raise rates up towards 5% or more and how are those interest payments for Uncle Sam going to look? Housing market gets further crushed and the veil is really lifted on the non-recovery.

They/we are in a corner and they know it.

I see his angle. Exceed the expectations by minimal, but still exceed the number....which I question the reality of it all....adding $10/hr jobs, etc....but Short EUR/USD

pretty sure Ike has a better grasp of the NFP then DB.

Jobs jobs jobs....12 months straight and still no int rate rise? because they know its a house of cards. If Starbucks, HD and Walmart had real living wage jobs...then you can start talking, but they dont.

Yes.

How many times over how many years can the Fed say "the recovery is still to fragile" until it's obvious that there wasn't an actual recovery?

The bottom 85%-90% of wage earners took a big step back over the last 8 years or so. Long term U.E. is still bleak.

people are making 48 cents more an hour more than last year....YEAH!

Government can only bottle up business for so long, there will always be a pop.

The housing industry had a great 18 months on NEW construction because for 3 years prior, no new houses got built. Does that mean the real estate market is back? hell no.

American Businesses still sitting on record levels of cash, over 3 Trill...doing nothing....it is one of the largest indicators that a large majority of business leaders have zero faith in the Obama plan for the future, which is because there is none. Living year to year, is not what businesses want. They want to know if they sink $10 mill into a new plant that they can recoup those costs in tax savings...and not be taxed for spending it....this is just an example.

Government should be creating an environment that makes a business want to expand, not sit on the sidelines waiting.

And also create an environment which makes working the better alternative to government assistance. It seems they make it very easy for people to sit at home rather than get and keep jobs.

So much of our economy was dependent or linked to housing prices perpetually rising. I feel like the economy still doesnt know what to do without that.

Except buying back their own stock (about $500-600 B per year), which is one of the reasons the market continues to rise.

I have made that point many times before. I like the German model of those getting government assistance for not working, go to work for the government. Give me one day or working at a park cleaning up, have a supervisor provide a work report for them, so when they go looking for a job they can provide a report as to how hard they work.

Essentialy zero initiative to do much right now.

I agree and those Housing prices are being inflated by high end stuff and new stuff. resales are still falling or at best leveling off.

Those companies are definetely doing that but they're taking advantage of low interest rates and cheap money to do it. Taking on dirt cheap debt and buying back shares with it.
