My guess is it's a pic from Road Hard.

I listened to the PO'd podcasts. Both of them. Dennis Miller practically blew Carolla. It was pretty weird. He fawned all over the Aceman, though there was a part in the 2nd ep where music was playing in the background during their rants, and Miller was having none of it. He sounded genuinely annoyed by it, but they both attributed it to being a new show without them really knowing each other.

Oh, yeah, Ill watch Road Hard just to see all the podcast jokes in action.

Im trying to remember the blatant Seinfeld episode rip off Adam passed off as his own joke on the show. It was bad.

Yep, that pic is from the trailer.

Here's the trailer:

I laughed at the last image. I'm looking forward to seeing this.

I'm in.

I'm curious as to what kind of theatrical release it's going to get. I was just planning on getting it online.

Yeah, it might be just a few theaters. Poor Adam....

Rosen is on Doug Loves Movies. She missed a chance to drop a joke about Road Hard; but brings the quick and the funny in a, gasp, Carolla kind of way.

She tried hard to get a joke in about Carolla but wasn't very successful IMHO. She wasn't the best panelist by any means. Still it was good she got promoted because Adam did her dirty.

Was that the clusterfuck of an episode where the entire panel could only name 2 or 3 Cate Blanchett movies?

The PO'd cast is not bad. Having someone who Adam cant steamroll helps. Miller has already stopped a couple dumb Adam ideas (the name and the music under rants) in only two shows

Although on the other hand, Adam now has a fresh audience (Miller) to rehash a lot of his classic (old) bits

I think Ill listen to the Fitzsimmons episode from last week. The rest looks skippable.

I might be too far in the Seinfeld/Curb trees to see it but what stuff in RoadHard do you think is Seinfeld/Curb?

I gotta say the trailer looks better than I thought it would.

I hope Adam cuts Alison's part (just because that would be sooo Adam)

Yeah, sometimes those are entertaining. This one had potential but then went to shit. I like when he has Werner Herzog or Garry Marshall (or Paul Tompkins(?) as them) on DLM. Too bad they can't do a "Getting Doug With High" with Herzog and Marshall, the real guys.

I thought Rosen could've made a reference/broke the ice on the Carolla thing (assuming the assembled knew her back-story enough and was aware of Carolla's film...hmm, maybe not) by saying in response to the round of "seen any movies lately?" "Road Hard" and then let it hang there for a few beats. At least her podcast fans would've been delighted.

 that would be awesome. It would help Alison's pod rating. She needs a new gig. Her podcast...not good.

re: Seinfeld/CYE:

integrating stand-up into the show; sitting at a diner chatting over coffee in the same way Jerry and George and Elaine did (even looks like the same booth in the same arrangement, different diner); and someone noted the Kramer-esque physical comedy of a pant-less Adam getting locked out of his hotel room. and the socially tone-deaf faux pas gang-bang of Larry David in Curb. ("I wanna suck your dick" "me too" etc)

And that's just the trailer.

I agree the trailer looks good. But Carolla has to drop the "grit" and tough guy act. He looks like Conor fucking Oberst in those scenes laying in his hotel bed, looking morose and pensive. And he obviously was too thin-skinned to let the Thursday gang continue once he got heat for firing Alison on social media. Amazing he didn't see that coming. And could he quit whining about his parents already. Aye yi yi.

So, I got behind on episodes and picked out a random one to listen to yesterday and he talked about pre-ordering Road Hard on Itunes

Is it not being released in theaters? God that would be a HUGE loss for Adam.

Dana Gould was on today's show. It was a shorter episode comparable to what he's been posting. It was only about an hour and 15 minutes.

The next funny thing Gould says will be his first. Can't stand that guy.

Just checked this website: http://www.roadhardmovie.com/

It lists a screening in Chicago this Saturday. Carolla will be there. Unfortunately, I can't go due to previous plans.

The site says it's out March 6th, which is Friday. Not sure if I'll be able to get to it this weekend or not, but I definitely want to watch it. You going to try and head out to the screening this Saturday?

Id go see it if it was released near me, but Im not going out of my way.

Yeah, I would only go to the screening that Carolla was at. Otherwise, I'm thinking Apple TV or On Demand, if it's available thru Comcast. I know it's going to be on iTunes.

Ha, I'll have to track down the video for Jules Dash on the Today show.

I haven't listened much if at all lately. Probably should delete his daily show from my podcast app so it doesn't download and chew up bandwidth.
Keep the weekly ones on there and maybe scan his shows every so often to see if Deaf Fray Guy or Larry Miller make an appearance.

And haven't listened to Rosen's podcast since January. They were both better together.

Carolla screwed up bouncing Rosen when he did (and obviously how he did). Should've kept her around a few more months
and made her part of the build up to and release of Road Hard. Her fans seem like a loyal, enthusiastic bunch. Might've doubled his ticket
sales/downloads etc opening weekend had he not alienated her entire fan base.

Couldn't agree more. I have not listened to him since he fired her. I stopped listening to her Thursday podcast when Carolla told his guys they couldn't do it anymore. She's too touchy feely for me, but I thought it worked out well when paired with Carolla.

I guess this is premiering at the Patio Theater this Saturday. A publicist called Leadbelly today (we're 2 blocks away from the theater) and asked if we would stay open late for a Adam and his entourage.

The bigger the difference the more Adam will feel vindicated.

Ill bet it's good

Adam Carolla on the north side and an Irish themed parade on the south side. How does an rpb choose?
