New comedy from Tina Fey on Netflix. It's very 30 Rock-ish.

But, man it's kind of twisted. Ellie Kemper from The Office stars as a woman that was kidnapped and abused in a bunker in Indiana with 3 other women for 15 years. She gets out and tries to adjust to living in New York when she doesn't know anything that's happened in the last 15 years.

I don't usually watch comedies but this is pretty funny.

I never realized how incredibly cute she is. I don't think this concept works with anybody but her.

I guess NBC turned this down after it was made and Netflix took it with the agreement that they'd guarantee a second season.

I'm thinking with them knowing the second season wouldn't be on network TV, they could really take this to some weird, dark places next season.

Her roommate is tremendous on this show. I just wish there was no Carol Kane. I've never liked her.

Yes. It was a Doomsday Cult where he told them the world had ended and he made up Bible stories where Jesus had a stepbrother and there were werewolves, etc.

The birthday episode is tremendous.

Yeah, the scene where she catches the stepsister lying was terrific. The whole episode is. I like that this basically feels like a simultaneously happier and darker 30 Rock.

I loved one of the opening jokes where they all go on the Today Show and Matt Lauer welcomes them and they all quietly say "Good Morning, Bryant."

I watched the opener and was kind of disappointed. I'll watch a few more to give it a chance. Big fan of the lead character.

I liked the pilot but it gets much better.

I think the 2nd half of the season is much stronger once they get away from the Krakowski house.

I watched it on your suggestion. It's ok. The jokes are kind of played.

Krakowski may be a one note actress but she hits that note very well.

THis show is pretty good, definitely has some LOL moments. Unfortunately those moments are balanced out by the cringe worthy Carol Kane and the equally horrible black guy.

The black guy is more than a little too broad, yeah. I don't mind Carol Kane. I like when Tina Fey writes weird old New York women, like she did with Carrie Fisher back on 30 Rock. I like the exchanges with Xanthippe.

There's a lot of trademark Tina Fey absurdism in this show, but I think Daddy's Boy might be as absurd as it gets. Delightful.

I put this on my Queue about a week ago when it was the Netflix 'homepage' on my PS3 app. I like Ellie Kemper and it seems like it could be amusing. Glad there are some decent reviews, I'll start watching it soon.

finally started watching this show. 1st season is quite fantastic. Like you all, can't get the theme song out of my head. I'm a few episodes into season 2 and it doesn't seem as strong though. But season 1 was good enough that I'll give 2 a full go. Can't stand the teenage daughter, I know, she's supposed to be annoying. But it's killing me. Like the other characters.
