Nas, you really need to take the goggles off. This team never seemed to be in it today.

Riddle me this. When the Bears drafted Benson, the talk was that he 'fit their system,' yet when you actually see their 'system' in action, you can see it consists mainly of 3-yard passes to the RB; why, then, would a RB known for running between the tackles, and not for receiving, fit their system?

yep. for a team that chirped about how this is a must win etc, they sure looked like they had better things to do then play football today. maybe they were busy concentrating on midweek halloween parties.

I don't care how bad Griese looked this week...and I know he was horrible. But Benson (can't run, catch or block), Berrian (can't catch and doesn't know the routes) and Bradley (never open) have sucked every game this year. Before I see Orton, I wanna see AP at running back for 80 percent of the game and have Moose, Hester and Olsen/Clark in the 3 wide receiver sets.

I want to see Peterson as well. Every time he gets carries, he's productive. Every time Benson gets carries, he's not. I don't think this is brain surgury.

I just heard some of Lovie's post game comments, and he says the silver lining is that they can take the next two weeks to get back to basics and figure out what what wrong.

Does he really not know ?

Moose might be the worst starting WR in the NFL.

I don't know if he's the worst, but he is certainly in the team picture - he's just old and makes too much money at this point for him to be here next year.

The silver lining is that we don't have to watch shitty footbal from the Bears next week and then listen to excuses for the next six days...now we'll just hear the excuses for a couple weeks.

The season is over.

The defense has quit.

Lovie Smith will be fired at the end of next season. He is incompetent and Ron Turner and Benson need to just go away.

Devin Hester is the most dangerous offensive player that isn't a quarterback in football today, and they refuse to use him properly on offense.

This is absolutely dumbfounding and sad.

The season really is over. Sad to say, but true. It's all about draft position now and regrouping for Training Camp. Booooooooooooooooo.

Now that's an embarrasing stat. The 30th ranked pass defense likes Griese food. Terrific. :?

Maybe we'll get to read 2 columns from David Haugh, and maybe even L.Holmes/J.Dickerson tell us over and over how we need to give the ball to Benson 25 times a game so we can see what we have.

I can't believe how bad they are. Lovie is not getting the job done, "his guys" Babich & Turner suck. Defense is playing some uninspired football. A professional football team should not include Danieal Manning or Archuletta. We have no talent anywhere on offense. Hester is the only bright spot.

I'd like to throw the whole team under the bus.

Quote:
WTF is all this talk about the defense?
Are you ignoring the 800 tackles they've missed? Or in the other Lions game the 34 pts in the 4th quarter? The queens ran all over them. They're one of the worst defenses in the league.

Most teams score more than 16 points against the Lions. This defense has been banged up and the offense hasn't done them any favors. I'm sure you watched the first Lions game and realize the defense didn't give up 34 points in the 4th quarter. They forced turnovers and put the offense in position to score but they haven't gotten it done. There have been 18 turnovers from the quarterback position and 22 overall.

All that maybe true Nas but the Bears are still not tackling well and not covering well. If you cant tackle, and you can defend the pass over 10 yards, then you cant call yourself a good NFL defense.

Before this game the bears were 27th overall at 374.8 yards allowed per game. They suck.

I agree. I saw his postgame performance. I understand he's frustrated but he seems to be on an anti-media crusade. Against the same media that's coddled him since he's been here. He's full of shit.

Yeah, they're probably much better through 8.
