Kate McKinnon's opener as Hillary killed.

The chicken sketch is ridiculously stupid bad good.

I thought the lesser twin skit was good. The film with Hemsworth poking fun at himself by being perfect was good.

The Empire skit which was clearly based off of Undercover Brother was ok.

I thought McKinnon was god awful as Hillary. They are forcing feeding her to the audience. She also blew as Iggy Izzalia. Get the character down already.

Macy Gray is pretty funny on Weekend update though.

No - his name is Michael Che, and both he and Colin Jost should just walk away and nevercome back. Now.

I don't get the love for her. She butchers lines constantly and isn't even remotely funny.

She is loud and obnoxious. Most of their female cast is boring and predictable.

I suspect that any male who is publicly critical of her will be called a racist and/or misogynist.

I thought that Greg Olsen did a pretty good job hosting.

It was during the chicken sketch that I couldn't take it anymore and started the thread.
If you thought the opened killed then our expectations have dropped considerably for this show.

Well, I'm a fan of Sasheer Zamata. I like Strong and McKinnon as well. You can keep the rest.

Sasheer is quality, I believe she was added late and others got fired like 1 show into the season.

Dont think Cecily strong should have lost her update gig...Che is boring and lame

the writing is horrible. Good that they could do everything based on one angle of Helmsworth being good looking.

Leslie Jones...WTF? "Have large black women scream" at lest 2-3 times a week? didnt know it was role they needed to fill

Sasheer is very attractive (and seems funny). Cecily Strong is good, but Kate McKinnon scares me a little bit. She looks insane. Aidy Bryant and Vanessa Bayer are consistently funny.

I think the current cast is pretty strong (the women I mentioned above and Keenan, Taran Killam, Beck Bennett, Bobby Moynihan, and Pete Davidson are all funny) and that this season has been the most consistently funny season in years.

Yeah, that's pretty much all she does. Mildly chuckle-worthy once in a while, but not really funny.

Pete Davidson is rarely used, but could be funny..

Kate M, who I think does characters well and is thus in every sketch, has got hat crazy edge to her. Way too many people in her head is my guess.

Watched it this morning...the musical guest wasn't bad...I liked the song with Chris Cornell.

The only sketch I laughed at was the porn star sketch with Cecily Strong and the horse faced chick. Update amuses me, but Strong shouldn't have lost the spot. Che is alright by me, but Colin Jost should die in a fire.

Kate McKinnon is fucking terrible. Leslie Jones is a writer who doesn't belong in front of a camera...she would probably even admit that. Jay Pharoh is pretty good. Taran Killam has rounded into a decent cast member.

We watched a little bit of this last night. I was pretty drunk, but it was not funny.

I think Kennan Thompson is very underrated on that show.

Here’s a secret. If you’re a Saturday Night Live writer, and you want to get an extra laugh in your script, just add this line: “KENAN REACTS.” Sure, it’s sort of cheating. But we still do it sometimes. Because it works.

Struggling young liberal's band together for sketch comedy.

That thought always is in my head for SNL.

I hate that 30rock,let's make fun of Republicans vibe I get from that show.

FoxNews should start a comedy show.

The best of Will Ferrell is on now.
This is much better than anything I saw last night.

Nothing underrated about him other than perhaps his awfulness. To his credit he has been consistently wretched on SNL.

Being on SNL for 12 years is not a sign that you have quality skills.

However, he was great in GOODBURGER

Fox News did start a late-night comedy show once. To call it a stillborn rotting on asphalt in the August sun would be charitable. It's like Christian rock. It just doesn't work. It's not natural.

Here you go, Jimmy. Comedy on Fox News. Say what you will about the evening opinion shows, they are what they are, but I don't think a news channel should be in the comedy business. Keith Olbermann walked the line, as does Rachel Maddow; the not-inconspicuous laughter they insist upon from their crews has always rubbed me the wrong way, as if we're supposed to think their laughter is spontaneous and not required of them.

I grew up watching All That + Kenan and Kel on Nickelodeon so Kenan is my guy. Only other people I'm cool with are Taran Killan and Pete Davidson. I can do without the rest. Watching old SNL episodes -- it seems like there was a lot more creativity with writing and sketches. Not sure if the current cast sucks or everything's been done already because the show's 40 years old. I go with the former.
