I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters... sell them to me. Sell me your children!

What happened to all his insight on Patrick Sharp? Ever since he told Sharp to sue him, he hasn't
had much to say about Sharp. Now Rose is his target of scorn and innuendo, more from his non-existent
sources. Bernsy, is just a horse's ass.

I'd love to see someone confront him in person and watch him pee his pants.

Has BernSTINE'S alleged "sources" alerted him to all the Bears movement going on now?

But now, for some reason, considering yourself a businessman is laughably childish?

Terry just said that Rose is the most galling athlete in Chicago sports history!

Dan sure loved the Rose-cum-businessman narrative when it pertained to billboards in Guangzhou.

Terry doesn't think "Blurred Lines" rips off "Got to Give It Up"? Come on, it's blatant.

Hmmm, hates Goff, and wants Rose to be crippled. Yep, got this one figured out.

Interesting. I had the show thread first. Another one was made. Everybody here was cool with it. No unfounded, illogical outrage?

Not at all. Not mad. Just pointing it out.

The new thread was fine. Nice topic. Pointed out that Bernstein is racist. Good job. Just didn't need to be dated. Which is the signification of a "Show thread".

Since it was a 2nd show thread, I was expecting anger by posters. I guess it's only for me. That's cool.

 well, kinda? And yes I listened since I am one of the few KC Johnson fans.

But KC's question was more than the 'wanted to be injured', it included Rose's desire to come back and play. So that technically was what Dan was expressing doubt over, due to the Listen.To.Your.Doctors stuff from 2013.

This is called providing context, which is something B&B earlier in the segment had no fucking clue about. Instead they insisted any other interpretation of Rose's words was 'speaking for him', and how the REAL racists are the ones patronizing the guy. But Rose saying 'who cares?' in response to a question about the Bulls' timeline couldn't be taken completely literally if you listened to the whole context of that Q&A. Terry insisted that Rose just 'led the press conference' with it, which was more than hyperbole to just blatantly untrue.

now THIS definitely happened, and was kind of icky. Reminded me of a Cowley hit earlier in the season (before I forbid myself from those) with M&H where he said he wanted to just shake Derrick and say 'what's wrong with you?'....

Plus, since when did Dan give a fuck about an athlete being all rah-rah and his body language instead of his performance? Meatball much? This show sucks ass.

A late caller tried to explain the context of the who cares/I don't care but they would have none of it of course.

No kidding, they might as well have hired Kap & Haugh for middays if this is the direction they want to go. It's tough to see the difference between Kaplan and Bernstein now, outside of skin pigment.

holy shit dude, i had no idea that it was that obvious but i'm never surprised by anything like that. rap/r&b/hiphop/etc is just one giant regurgitation of the past generations... so why not some gameshow host's pretty boy son?

for what it's worth, i always believed fatboy slim's "weapon of choice" (teh one with christopher walken dancing) wouldn't have existed without mike & rich's reg coming out a couple'a years earlier.

KC: He added a shade of grey in a world that demands immediate definitive statements.

Dan: It's more than that though. It's a matter of feeling like it's important to him, a feeling like he wants to. It's about tone, as much as it is the words themselves – he doesn't even want to open his mouth when he talks. He doesn't really seem like anything is important to him. You can see in his eyes.

KC: Totally understood. That's an opinion that's valid. Again, that's placing other people's expectations on Derrick. That's a response you wanted to hear. Derrick isn't really concerned with that stuff. Does anybody actually think that he wanted to be injured these three times? Does anybody actually think that he does not want to be playing basketball?

Dan: I don't know the answer to that.

KC: Well, I do, because I talk to him in different settings and situations. So, I do know the answer to that.

(a few minutes later)

KC: I do think since the 2012-2013 experience, which I know for a fact he still carries some scars over, regardless of what he says publicly, he hasn't been as good in group settings. I can't say why, I can just tell you that when I deal with him in a less public setting, he remains as genuine and as true of an interview subject I've dealt with. I was in Spain at the World Cup this summer. Sam Smith and I were the only Chicago media there – he was fantastic, he was relaxed, he was casual, he was funny, he was making fun of how bad he was playing. He's just a different guy when he's put up to something.

(at the end)

KC: I'd like to talk about him as a basketball player at some point, so hopefully he'll get back before the end of the season. If he's not back before the end of the season, have me on again and we'll talk and break it down.

Also, Terry was just bizarre, chiming in with questions about how Derrick is a different communicator in different media settings with Terry making this seem like it was unfathomable. Really, as a sportswriter he didn't notice guys who acted differently in a one-on-one than in a media scrum?
