Cubs are sloppy today. I need to see Maddon throw some bases and kick some dirt. Bench Lake.

Shut up.

Less than a month until Cubs baseball counts. Yes, this is a young team, but let's not accept multiple, avoidable errors in an inning. Showcasing Lake for a trade is not worth limiting at-bats from 2015 Cubs contributors.

Not making this up: Bryant just hit an oppo, mammoth shot to right-center three pitches after Baez's. That's Soler-Baez-Bryant in a row.

There can be no more doubting.

Jorge Soler: HR to LF concourse. Javy Baez: HR to LF concourse. Kris Bryant: HR to right-center. So that happened.

They just got lucky :D

In the desert. Against rusty AA pitchers.

Who was 5-8 for Cleveland last year, and is 7-12 with a 4.44 ERA over 34 big league starts. Pretty Danksesque numbers.

Danks is a major league pitcher.

Also, I'd like to point out his FIP was 4.01 last season.

Not only is he a major league pitcher, but a dead center average major league pitcher.

A far cry from "rusty AA" pitcher, we could both agree?

Did I quote the part about being an AA pitcher? How is that for reasoning?

What are you trying to say? I mean, you jumped in after all, so proceed and clarify. Do you mean that Trevor Bauer and John Danks are average major league pitchers? Okay. I won't argue that. Are you trying to find someone to argue that?

Logical people would join this thread, see that back to back to back home runs were brought up. Hussra stated that they were hit off of a rusty AA pitcher. I stated this was false. You and I both clarified Trevor Bauer was an average major league pitcher in 2014.

Do you have anything more to add to that?

 Jesus

Clarifying, Trevor Bauer is not that good. It was a good game for the Cubs, but wake me up when those guys start doing something at the big league level in April, May, June, etc.

I wouldn't call a 10-6 loss good. In fact, it was their worst loss in a winless spring.

I will laugh my ass off when Trevor Bauer wins 15 games or is an All Star this year. That would be classic. :o

I agree...but it's funny when a manager says it's important to instill confidence and have a winning attitude/environment from the start. Unless they have a shitty spring, then none of it matters!

I don't believe the spring W-L matters to Maddon.

True... went 16-7 with Tampa last spring and then had a shitty year.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Maybe it was only a matter of time before it happened. Hitting 4-5-6 in the Chicago Cubs' lineup, big-time prospects Jorge Soler, Javier Baez and Kris Bryant hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning of Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Indians.

"I was just laughing, 'No way this is happening right now,' " a smiling Baez said afterward.

BIG TIME PROSPECTS...

 Cub Nation

I think when Cub fans start making fun of a guy, he is no longer a "top prospect".

Javier Baez will have been a top prospect forever. In 50 thousand years, he will still have been a top prospect.

Eddy Curry too. Im sorry you dont like that, but it's true.

Except three pages ago, there were Sox fans talking about Baez being a bust after he struck out three times

So I guess it only matters when we want it to
