Hearing some of the dumb questions that our media asks is also the fun part of listening to these things. Man, we have a stupid media people for the most part. A few good ones (Biggs is the best), but mostly dumb, weird people.

pizza_Place: Four hours away....and on fire :-(
Dan: Rex Grossman, I think he started a game last year, didn't he?

Terry: Yeah, I think he did.

(two minutes later)

Dan: Grossman didn't start. He declined the Browns offer to go on a family vacation.

Terry: Yeah, I thought he was done.

JRW's donations should be seized and given to a very smart law firm to watch over it for them.

Illinois little league district 12 has carried JRW as being a part of their league. Now its official. Now the kids in 12 get to play JRW. I wonder if the parents of kids will pull them in protest?r

This, more than anything, is why I want them to make the playoffs next year.

Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, and Ben Roethlisberger, have won 6 of the last 10 Super Bowls.

Dan's accountant calls in to say that Tom Thibodeau isn't elite, but "maybe good." Dan agrees.

That is what I do not get. They base their hate of Jay on pouty face and attitude. As if Cutler is not capable of playing well enough to win a super bowl. First, he went to a NFC championship game. Second last year say what you will his play was better in a lot of areas. Streaky yes, bad at times yeah, too many turnovers but he is not in the bottom half of QB's.

Yep. Black folks cannot be trusted to manage their own donations or their own bodies. God created Jews to handle those things on their behalf.

I may be extrapolating too much from Dan's statement, but it does indeed strike me as bizarre that a town that generally can't wait to work the phrase/concept of "Chicago Tough" into any conversation, not just sports, is seemingly falling all over itself to defend Derrick Rose's history (and thus potential this time around) to fiddly-dick around getting back from injury.

Getting paid $500,000 a year to work 5 hours a day without having to make any meaningful contribution whatsoever?

I kind of look at it from the opposite perspective. I find it disturbing that a guy who routinely mocks the concept of "Chicago Tough" is using his high profile platform to constantly bash a guy who has had three knee surgeries in less than three years as being weak.

And those doctors that he keeps insisting that Rose trust almost killed Luol Deng. THEY ALMOST KILLED LUOL DENG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lest it be misconstrued, I'm not stumping for Dan, I just think my 'extrapolation' is, at the very least, an interesting dichotomy to consider ... as I sorta said, I don't even know if that's what he meant.

And sure, I understand the phrase is more a Bears-related one, but two basketball situations off the top of my head are how everyone lauds and magnifies Jordan's effort in the 'flu' game (whether he was actually that sick has been, and will continue to be, debated), while Pippen and his (at the time undiagnosed?) migraine problem in game 7 way back when made him a pariah for quite a while ... looooong before the Kukoc game (the latter, of course, being entirely deserved derision).

 Kudos to Boers for calling out the amazement of Bernstein having a 5'4" 10-year old in his league.

Hell, Dr. Ken Jr. III is taller than that at 9.

I mean...if the kid was 5'4.5", maybe....

By the way what almost killed Loul were these words by Danny Ferry " he has a little African in him"

No kidding. Yours truly got wang whipped in a basketball game by a 5'8, 10-year-old when I was around that age. It's certainly isn't that rare to see 10 years olds at 5'4
