Hub and Dan have already had a major disagreement over the evaluation of John Fox as a coach. Dan didn't back down on that one. Hub did. I'm not sure that will happen this time though because there's more grey area. You can't tell me that they didn't shop Cutler.

So we are complaining about Dan saying "obvious things" but lauding Hub for saying that Cutler is currently on his way to being the Bears QB in 2015?

Cutler puts Bear fans with long memories in a bad place. He can be a special QB and exceed everyone's expectations because he does have all the tools. If you add that fact to the history of Bears QB's ,you might go with him another year.

I don't even remember anyone's original position on this anymore. Moon Mullen was on Hood's show last night saying he was very close to the situation from the start and that the Bears did very little in the way of trying to move Cutler. He said he found other reports to the contrary over the past few weeks to be "misinformation of disinformation"...but I was whacked out on gout medicine and trying to sleep so who knows.

that is a vague concept. Mullen acknowledged if someone offered two first rounders or something like that, they would move him. However, when asked about their aggressiveness on pursuing a trade, Mullen considered it not aggressive at all.
