:thumleft:
It came out the year I turned 21, so it's kind of embarrassing that I never tried it.
Maybe DfH wasn't available around here back when I was a lot more into trying new stuff?
But on the other hand, I LOVE Heineken and Miller High Life equally, so what do I know about beer other than it should be in my fridge at all times?
Had a six of Sam Adams Rebel IPA earlier this week, and I wasn't impressed.
Boston Lager is still better, IMO.
Cheers!

Any offering from Dogfish Head is top notch. I still love Boston Lager to this day.

I'm not a World of Beer fan but I'm gonna try to hit one tomorrow for the unfiltered and unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell.

Have you had Hopster? I think NG released it recently. A hoppy wheat ale. I got a couple bottles yesterday. Looking forward to trying it.

Beer Market (WOB copycat) in Vernon Hills had Abrasive. Pretty good. Though, like 95% of beer, I don't think it's worth the scavenger hunt or groveling/begging required for beers nowadays.

Maybe the best thing out of St. Louis since the Cardinals is this gluten free beer. The bad news is that it's eight bucks a six-pack and is only 3.0.....takes about 4 bottles before you feel anything.

That stuff is awful.

I bought Abrasive online from a MN liquor store. Even after shipping, it was cheaper than buying it from Binny's.

I'm heading up to the Grand Rapids area for work next week. Any chance I will come across some Founders KBS? I will be staying in some small town in the middle of nowhere, so I was hoping the local mom and pop shop would have some. Does anyone know how readily available it is locally in Michigan?

Adding to DB's question, does it become widely available on tap like Zombie Dust and Hopslam?

Did a little digging on the Founders website:

KBS will be available throughout Michigan beginning on Monday, March 16, and throughout the rest of our footprint beginning on Monday, March 30.

So maybe I will get lucky and come across some.

I was thinking about it. I'll probably be stopping for dinner in Grand Rapids. I'll either go to Founders or Hopcat. Any chance Founders will have any bottles left for sale on Monday?

Going tonight to eat and drink at Penn Brewery. They are a local one here that started pretty small in 86 or 96? I forget. Anyway, they make a IPA but most of their stuff is more what I enjoy Bavarian style beers. Supposedly they follow the purity laws to a tee. Not sure if you have it out there but if you did I would try it.

You should be able to find some.

Thought this was kind of interesting....

The sale of Spotted Cow made by a New Glarus, Wisconsin brewer in Minnesota is a felony criminal offense

A Minnesota bar near the Wisconsin border is accused of selling a popular Wisconsin beer, a felony offense..

Spotted Cow is made by a New Glarus, Wis., brewer, and it is illegal to sell it in Minnesota.

A search warrant filed in Hennepin County says an employee of Maple Tavern in the Twin Cities suburb of Maple Grove made beer runs to a liquor store in Hudson, Wis., to buy kegs of Spotted Cow.

Investigators went to the tavern and ordered a glass of Spotted Cow beer, then busted the bar.

New Glarus Brewing is not a licensed alcohol manufacturer in Minnesota. Also, no Minnesota alcohol distributors are authorized to legally distribute Spotted Cow to retailers in that state.

New Glarus is one of the top craft breweries in Wisconsin. Its website declares, "You know you’re in Wisconsin when you see the Spotted Cow."

Brandon Hlavka, a manager at the tavern, says it was a mistake to bring the beer to Maple Tavern -- but it was with the best of intentions.

Black-market/bootleg New Glarus was a thing in Manhattan a few years back as well. Mostly Wisco sports bars tho, iirc.

I bought Bell's new planet beer Saturn online from Sal's today. Mars was a great kickoff to the series but the next three Venus, Mercury and Jupiter were meh.

Saturn is a bourbon barrel aged barleywine. The cold weather is cooperating for one of these.

It may have been the first time in SomeGuy's life that he's enjoyed every beer a sampler pack has had to offer.

Even the Brown Ale was tasty.

I will continue to purchase.

My wife brought me a 750 ml bottle of Delirium nocturnum and a 750 ml bottle of St. Bernardus Abt 12 last night for my birthday.
I've never had either of these before, but they are from Belgium, so I assume they're gonna be good. 8.5% and 10%, respectively.
Anybody have any reviews?
