I think it was more than fair of me to give up on baseball because of the strike. It's not like I switched to the Cardinals or Twins. I just gave up on baseball until I got the World Series I felt was taken from my younger self.

By World Series you mean the actual series and not a title for the White Sox, right? Because White Sox/Expos would've been no sure thing.

Not really doing a whole lot to disprove the notion I got from my psych minor that you have a weird inferiority complex towards me.

Normally these posts happen later in the night from you!

You two wanna play slap-n-tickle take it over to Midworst Sports Fan Message Board. Let's not lose sight of what this thread is all about:

making Cub fans doubt everything the Cubs do.

BRick knows exactly why you posted this, subconsciously

Just ask him. Or don't. He will tell you in a sec

I'd rather BRick use his super-human powers to explain BigFan posts, like this one:

Its best to just smile and nod at most of bigfan's posts. He is the only one who knows what they mean, and when/if he explains them it typically just adds to the confusion. Its pretty much the case in this thread; viewtopic.php?f=33&t=92717

Roh Roh....I thought Theo was going to have from the minors to the majors play the right kind of baseball...I guess not?

I haven't personally met Beardown, but I've read enough of his bullshit to know that I don't want to meet him.

Nobody wants to meet Beardown we just exist in his imaginary world. He is probably sleeping with images of Bernstien dancing in his head sucking sugar plums.

I've been impressed that he's seemed to drill into the players in Arizona to haul ass for the extra base. Those bases add up.

The extra base appears to be a theme and yet didn't need to hire a special run game coordinator!

Finally, a real manager who says it like it is.

Jesse Rogers ‏@ESPNChiCubs 8m8 minutes ago

Maddon on balls and strikes by home plate umpire DJ Reyburn: "It was egregiously bad."

Jesse Rogers ‏@ESPNChiCubs 7m7 minutes ago

More Maddon: You cannot permit that to happen. We’re trying to ascend and we’re not going to take that from anybody, anywhere at any time."

Carrie Muskat ‏@CarrieMuskat 6m6 minutes ago

#Cubs Maddon on ump: "I had enough. I had enough, had enough. It was the whole game.
