Another jumped the Shark segment and self destroyed 3 years ago or so when they did almost the same contest for some other 'Worst thing ever said" contest.

And before a few people here go running to the type in 'See, I knew you listen" they are running the commercials during MH for this event...

I did tweet to MATTY this morning to have the STONES to include SOURCES as an entry

is this happening today? I do get a good 15 minutes out of them reading the entries. Some suck, sure. Matty's are usually good. Dan will probably just have a parade of strawmen ('people who think Derrick Rose is Jesus'), plus vendettas like 'The Sun-Times Cubs coverage'.

I hope one of the entries this year is "People who say they don't listen to Boers & Bernstein, but talk about it all the time"

What about those that talk about it all the time but really don't listen that much?

Those don't exist.

Even the B&B Hall of Fame thinks the TOB sucks.

Would it be too meta if the ToB itself was an entry?

I join you in liking this thing still. Dan's side is usually dumb but everything else is still fun, especially Terry's side.

I thought that was done before, and went pretty far?

Don't sleep on Penn St. getting their wins reinstated.

I distinctly remember Dan and Terry being ok with that.

Was this the contest they did right before or after it which was basically the same thing?

The only years it was good was when they allowed listeners to select the bracket. Dan and Matty's contributions are always borrrrrring, obvious choices. They fuck up the entire concept when they put child molesters in a bracket against things that are actually creative and funny. Idiots.

I got my own contribution "Biting into an onion ring and pulling out the onion" selected a few years ago, but it lost in the first round against "No ketchup on hotdog militants." Deservedly.

Not as meta as "Sports radio" or.... "Sports." Those would be my 1 and 2 seeds respectively if I was running the bracket.

Well, it's not like they only said it once.

I like how the hashtag is dominated by Tournament of Books talk.

#1 seeds: insufficient deference to one's social betters, black people stewarding their own money, populism, Brandon Marshall

Nicely done.

Or one could go: Emery, Trestman, Cutler, Marshall.

4 things they both were out of their mind happy about.

Maybe Dan could nominate Chuy Garcia now that he blamed Chuy's mere existence for Wrigley Field not getting done on time.

I still the the bracket reveal itself is pretty funny. The voting gets old real quick though.

Agreed. It's always been all about the bracket reveal. Even the first one got tedious, plus the retrospective awkwardness of the whole thing culminating in "people who say they can't find work" weeks before no one could find work.

I had forgotten about this. Dan really is a piece of shit.

Can't argue the point, but I think that was out of Terry's bracket. I believe I was pulling for Dan's "overly officious DMV clerks" to win it all.

If WYC isn't in the field how can it be a tournament of bad?
