Of course those same geniuses would trade their baseball ops with the Rays five years ago, or the Twins 5-15 years ago(& mention them even now), and would have won exactly zero.

.

In fact, the Cubs did trade in theirs for the Twins about 20 years ago

Wait...Bernstein is a Cubs fan now?

Dan Bernstein is towering over that dolphin.

One of these is true:

Speigs and Bernsie have a shared source
Bernsie stole Speigs inside info
Speigs and Bernsie have Cubs sources drinking at the same Kool Aid cooler.

They probably were reading the same article, or spend their too much time on twitter.

Except they aren't.

Except they aren't.

Much better athletes worse bball players.

Very few with Post moves, passing is terrible in terms of a team game, ball handling SUCKS! CARRY!

I see guys get stopped coming around a pick with the ball, and they back it by carrying it all the time....its almost allowed these days.

And if they let guys hack guys today like even when Jordan played, not sure leBron is running the lane so much.

I don't even think they're better athletes. Maybe they take drugs sooner and lift more. There's no team more athletic than the good Houston teams, UNLV, DePaul in the early 80s, Michigan State with Magic and Kelser and on and on and on. And that's going back 30 years ago, not twenty.

I suspect Jim Valvano and Lorenzo Charles feel differently.

Didn't you use to have to win your own tournament to get into the NCAA tournament?

Well, the ACC usually had a few teams get in, but when it was a 32 team tournament, you better win if you wanted to make sure.

Brendan McCaffrey just did a segment on how the Score has stopped being the "Voice of the Fan," we grew up thinking the front office guys were the bad guys but now we treat the players as the bad guys, and how the station needs to continue to challenge the decision-makers in town.

I'm gonna feel so bad for him when he gets fired.

Good pick up, I was confused when I heard what he was saying....

Does he live in a fantasy world or an alternate dimension or does he actually listen to the station?

The most listened to show on 670 is LITERALLY a PR mouthpiece of the team owners.

Baldy just said B&B's sources are "well above the locker room" and people at the Score need new sources to go with new management. "Who are they talking to? p.r. people?" Throwin' haymakers here. And I was just out for like an hour, I must have missed more of this if they were still talking about it.

i tuned in twice because of your reports but i've caught 100% proper sports talk.... and a commercial for a CW show about a psychic crimefighting yet brain-eating zombie. but given what you've said, it'll be interesting to see if this duo pops up to cover for laurence next week when he's in costa rica. i can see a lot of hub shifts and/or joe-o solo for some odd reason.

I distinctly remember sitting in front of the TV as a child when Coach K won his first tourney with Dawkins. My grandma was cheering "for Mickey". Now I don't think that is a gauge of importance but the TV announcers sure seemed to think it was a big deal.

Uh oh, Goff soon will be unemployed as well. He expressed the same sentiment just now. Only a tease, he said they will discuss it more later.
