all along. B&B said early in the week that the Bears were actively seeking to trade Cutler. Yet after the signing of Eddie Royal from S.D. three days ago, we learn today that Cutler himself was involved in trying to get Royal to come to the Bears, having played with Royal in Denver during the latter's rookie season in 2008. It makes no sense then that the Bears were looking to unload Cutler as late as this week, as B&B reported, when Cutler in fact was working on the Bears behalf to sign Royal before this week.

Either B&B made up the story the Bears were looking to trade Cutler or they got bad information from their sources at H.H.

The lesson learned: listen to what they say if you don't care about accuracy, credibility, or veracity. They are the check-out line tabloid equivalent of sports information.

They did. In fact, they said that the effort by the Bears' brass to trade Cutler had gone to a higher level of intensity. Bernstein, in particular, was gushing about it.

They won't be able to talk themselves out of this one. Makes one wonder if they are just a mouthpiece for the Bears, who wanted to make it seem like they were willing to get rid of Cutler amid all the discontent by Bears fans, when in actuality they never intended to. In the end, they got their stories crossed.

This is Cutlergate for Boers and Bernstein.

I like that call on the SPORT TABLOID Crap.

Listen to ESPN for facts, or even rumors, that they just call rumors....and dont claim they have a secret source on the rumor.

No. He's right. But it's not an either or. There was no bad info given to Bernstein.

Bernstein lied. Made it up. Sure, early on they were making calls. Of course. See what you can get. They found out not much so might as well keep him.

It was 2 days before Pace announced that Cutler would be the starter in that press conference that Bernstein said they are trying really hard to get a deal for Culter. Mortenson shot it down the next day. Clearly, when Bernstein said it, Pace already knew Cutler was his QB.

It was a flat out lie by Bernstein. He took an educated guess, like he often does. Sometimes this works and you can pull of the fake source.

But he had no source on this one and it's now proven that it was a bald-faced lie.

The Brandon Marshall thing was also a bald-faced lie. But it was one of those educated or common sense guesses that worked out for Bernstein. So he got away with telling people he was sourced on that one.

Get it? That's how he does it.

So I never want to hear anybody say "Bernstein got it right" like some did here after Marshall was traded. Cuz he had no source and if you throw enough against the wall, some of it is gonna stick.

Yep BD homer. But so what? They don't care and there are no repercussions.

This is the pro wrestling type narrative. The past only matters when it reinforces his opinion or stance.

I never said there would be repercussions. I've always said Bernstein runs the station. He's the actual boss.

But often times B&B point out, correctly, the misleading or compromised media. We're the only media in this city that will do it to Bernstein. So it needs to be said even though there will be no repercussions. Just for the public record. That's important.

At the very least, Score people read this nodding their heads. Maybe some day somebody will get the guts to call him out. Maybe the exposing of him on CSFMB, will force them to reach a boiling point. At least have a private meeting with him to scare him straight. See, I think Bernstein would stop if management had that meeting with him. He just knows his bosses (In title, not in reality) are pussies and they won't. So he'll continue. While Bernstein would get another job, nothing will be better or pay better than what he's doing now. So if they told him to stop the lies, he would.

Spiegel did it once in transition. He did call Bernstein a liar. So I'll give him credit. But to get him to stop it needs to be done by Mitch or Zim.
