and of course you didn't link me to the ducked fade or anything. you know i do that angle because you're bringing this up in an unrelated thread where i'm posting on topic like it's some call to attention cuz man you have that chris tucker thing in friday going on where you gotta run up to me and go MAN YOU JUST GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!!!!!! after biggie or goff or someone gets me, and the fact that you're not linking to it directly also tells me that you want me to go digging through threads and read the whole group referendum on me cuz there's some level of wanting to rub my face in the steaming load that i left on the rug/board earlier at some point. that's why i come off like that, cuz there's a certain level of !!?!? to being called out in a random thread like this one.

but whatever man.... if it's board business and not personal then whatever, i was honestly reaching out for you to link me to the ducked fade because i woulda unducked it right there on the spot, cuz man i honestly didn't see the fade in the first place. the spirit of jay-z is taking over my body as i start to recite "AND IF YOU CAN'T RESPECT THAT....." like it's late night dec 4th or something.

I believe spmack just ducked away from some shade, or fade, or maybe some ether.

i have jotted this appointment down in my "shit i gotta deal with someday" notebook right after "those $10-15k of medical/ambulance bills i owe all around cook county" cuz holy shit man when you're sitting there on teh emergency room table and you hear "CT Scan" and you're like "OH HELL NO DUDE I'M UNINSURED PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO DON'T DO THAT" and then the cop standing next to you says "go ahead and do that" cuz they're afraid you're possibly going to drop dead in their custody over the next 2hrs that you're with them and then you get teh bill and see that CT scan was like $4000-5000 and you're like "oh fucking hell.... at least they let me throw out my weed b4 i went back to the station"

Not at all man, I just wanted you and RPB to have your thread. The horse racing thread is my "realest" sports thread going and I'd be annoyed if a meaningless pissing match broke out in the middle of it. Just trying to be fair. I can bicker with Sini in a bad Beardown or Panther thread.

Hah. Fair enough. This is all RPB though. I've enjoyed Kendrick in the past, but I'm no super fan or modern rap savant.

not to mention i didn't throw any fade/shade/glade/cascade/-ade words at spmack cuz i was just trying to say where i was coming from in response to his notice about my fade. he does his thing and that's what life is about man... i'm not busting on the guy for liking horse racing as much as i'm just pointing out that he's way more up on the day-to-day happenings of the CSFMB than i am, so that's why he's like !!!!! YOU DUCKED A FADE!!!! and i'm seriously just sitting here like "....what fade?" that's the dichotomy at work here!

other than that, since i keep bringing up the ether thing that stuck in my craw-- that's just an old reference to when the score saviour showed up here and accused me of "trying to get to him through his sister" back in the day and afterwards spmack pops up and goes DAAAAAAMMMMNN SINI JUST GOT ETHERED!!!! it's just like seriously WTF?!?!?! dude the one time i met you IRL you were coming up to me all willy nilly 2-3 times tapping me on the shoulder like "....SUP?!?!" * nods and walks away * and now all of a sudden i'm the one trying to "get to" THE KING?!?!?! how does that work out? it's like that one time i got kicked out of a bar because as i was standing outside smoking some chick i had never seen in my life b4 came up to me and screamed I DON'T KNOW YOU!!! and proceeded to physically assault me for ~3mins straight (tho i admittedly didn't help when i was blocking all of her punches and kicks and said "here you kind of suck at this so let me help you out" and started randomly punching myself in the face while blocking her stuff) and then I GOT KICKED OUT OF THE BAR!!!!!!!!

i mean seriously how the fuck does that work? i can literally stand there and be randomly assaulted by someone i dont know and i've gotta go cuz i'm a problem while everyone's like "wow that poor girl is really having a rough night"?? ok then.

oh yeah, and i'd be remiss if i didn't say that tupac interview thing at the end of this is cheesy as hell. and i know cheesy tupac related shit cuz ~6yrs ago when i was bored and lonely i started editing in my own verses over the little homies verses on old 2pac cuts and i called it "2pac feat sinicalypse" --- so i'm maybe not an authority but at least a denizen of this type of 2pac cheese! =D

this production on this LP has me nostalgic for that oldschool boombap production style, which i actually was bumping last night when i discovered a "christian hip hop" folder on soulseek and decided to download it out of the blue... the resulting lols have me researching a christian hiphop mix today!

I love that song and I think Blaq Poet is great but to actually put words in these guys mouths

Biggie saying he's pissed at Jay Z and Pac saying no one understood what he was about

That takes some balls

yeah dude no doubt.... i couldn't get myself to put my words in anyone else's mouth other than jackson pollock's because seriously.... fuck that guy. if i was actually true to his concept i just would have randomly shouted at random intervals while putting the beat in a blender.

i'll always let people far more qualified than me speak for biggie and pac cuz i never got to meet the guys... maybe someday for pac! =D

Taylor Swift is a huge fan and Imagine Dragons got another year out of fhat one song due to Kendricks verse so thsys just a friend thing.

I love the first beat. Flying Lotus crossed with George Clinton is a perfect mi

Three different tyoes of flow by K Dot here.

Great start

Kendrick becomes Uncle Sam in the second verse

Now into a cool jazzy Sherane diss track (I think)

OK this is seemingly just made with my tastes specifically in mind. The first three beats are all great. Heavy big upbeat music. Funk, jazz

Kendrick is doing his usual lyrical acrobatics

Richard Pryor, Bill Clinton mentions

I haven't gotten around to posting my full thoughts yet. But as I said earlier, I think the album truly gets better as it goes on. I was worried on the first two tracks (and the interlude...then again, all interludes are garbage.)

The first track is awesome.

Neither of the interludes were really interludes, though. They're just shorter than normal but they're still songs. I loved the first one anyway. Ill take Kendrick flowing over some jazz anyday

And King Kunta is a banger. There's nothing wrong with catchy rap.

But to each their own

After two full listens, I love the album. (shocking)

The first half is a little bolder and daring, the second half is a little bit more straight forward rap.

The first three songs are a great way to start, Wesley's theory is a perfect open, the interlude closes the book on Sherane and King Kunta is a banger. Then it gets a little deep. Seems to mostly be about the culture shock of going from the hood to being rich. But instead of making party songs about poppin bottles and hittin bitches, Kendrick looks inward and has a lot of questions and concerns. That's why he's Kendrick

Its got the same kind of cinematic feel as Good Kid Maad City (not to mention OB4CL)

I saw this tweet and it made sense to me. GKMC was like a John Singleton film, TPaB is like a Spike Lee Movie

Pretty simple formula, the beats are great and Kendrick is an awesome lyricist. That works.

The 2 pac interview was meh.

Sometimes it almost came off like a spoken word album, but in a good way.

yea, that would be my one criticism.....like there needs to be more actual rapping ?

also I don't really like when he does his weird voices, i prefer my Kendricks straight up
