A very good friend of mine is a coach on their staff and for those familiar with Illini basketball he is the one responsible for recruiting Chicago. This is not a good look.

Would that be Paris Parham?

Could he trouble himself to hit a double? Don't even need a home run at this point.

The Razorbacks went thru this for several years, I am not asking for National Championships, just a competitive tourney team on the floor. Thankfully they hired Mike Anderson who is a good coach who should do that.

that's my guy. The two Simeon kids were overrated. I told him this at the time they were signed. Particularly Tate. He is a low level D1 prospect at best. They were in there hard for Alexander but came up short. They were also in there strong for Brunson but they came up short. They have to get Lovett. The kid from LA lumiere is good by all accounts but D.J. Williams may be a bust

Well, Jesus, LTG, DJ Williams is going to suck too?

He was supposed to be good. Do you have any salt to finish off my wounds tonight?

Refs screwed us that game and the good guys still almost won.

They'll be a ref scandal 30 for 30 on that one day.

He has all the tools but has no motor. It may be the Simeon system because their system is not geared to showcase one on one ability. Plus they are loaded with D1 talent. The hope is that he will turn it on once he gets to college. He has ability but he has to come on with it. As a soph. He was top 15 in the nation. He was ranked higher than Brunson during this pd. He has slipped since then. Probably top 40 at this stage and that may be generous. He has ability. Perfect 3 look and skill set.

He is OK but Illinois needs pros. At least 1 or 2 in order to be an elite program. If they were good he would be a 7th or 8th man.

It's true.

I think Sean May just got fouled again.

I think he's better than that.

He's a starter on a good team or a scoring 6th man.

I'm hoping that he isn't sacrificed but he knew what he was getting into when he took the job. He is responsible for the city and has to deliver. There has been a lot written in the past couple of days about Illini recruiting and the lack of it. The focus on him is at an all time high.

He has definitely shown that he deserves to play. He has shown that he can be a contributor. I will give him that.

I was sad to see Jerrance Howard go. I think people were willing to put up with this year until this pathetic ending - then everything goes under the microscope.

Jerrance Howard was a helluva recruiter. I never checked for the inside story on that.

Jerrance Howard deleted his twitter once his suspension over the wacky tabacky was announced.

I'd always heard that Groce wanted his own people and then Chew left.

He should have kept Howard. He's Illini through and through. He'll be their coach one day.

Was he buying weed on Twitter?

He's the Robert Durst of ganja.

Smoked it all, of course.

This program is a joke. Its time to blow it up and fire Thomas, Beckman and Groce. Start over.

See you this fall Illini hoopsters. I hope they don't lose any of their current class this summer. It was a frustrating season this year
and I am willing to give Groce a pass for the injuries and suspensions. I won't miss Rice too much. I could see him playing overseas
somewhere possibly. As hard a time as I gave Egwu early in the season I will certainly miss his size and leadership next season.
Again, I could see him playing overseas if that is what he would like. If Groce can't form a cohesive unit with what he has coming
back next season and the incoming class he has then I am going to have to jump off his bandwagon.
