As baseball fever heats up around Chicago, Comcast SportsNet is airing commercial-free telecasts from Arizona.

The action kicked off Thursday night as the Cubs faced the Diamondbacks and will continue this afternoon as the White Sox host the Cubs.

Instead of commercials, CSN will air special features in between innings, including:

Yep. I caught about an inning of a Cubs Reds tilt last weekend as my wife and I were getting ready to go out. Again, was very cool just to be able to watch baseball again, especially with the weather they had.

Roy Hobbs was on his way to sign with the Cub. Then he got shot. Still a great prospect though.

Rickey Henderson was 12 when Hawk finished playing in MLB.

Hawk's stories are getting pretty out there, but he's great. The game needs more characters like him. He is one of the last of those characters in baseball, and will be missed when he's gone.

Maybe he misspoke, but he I could've swore he said "played against." That's what caused me to take notice and try and add up the timelines. He named off Mantle, Hornsby, Mays and other greats and then said Henderson was the most dangerous. I was thinking maybe a very young Henderson and an old Hawk crossed paths during spring training.
