I don't want to bash a guy who just died, but Bednarik was a tool. He loved to rip the younger guys for their "antics", but there he was doing a voodoo dance over a guy who was convulsing and nearly swallowing his tongue.

Just short of that. He liked to write smartass shit like "Sorry Frank" or "Hi Frank!" I saw him criticize Deion for some celebration on the field or some shit, well the worst thing Deion ever did on a football field was nowhere near as bad as dancing over a guy who was trying to swallow his own tongue. R.I.P. Chuck Bednarik.

I remember once Bednarik was on the radio here, not sure if it was the Score or 1000, but he was rather upset that Jeffrey Lurie wouldn't buy copies of his book to give to the players. I don't know if Chuck needed the money or really felt like today's players needed to read his book but it was sad and entertaining at the same time.

Yeah he seemed like a bitter prick when I saw him interviewed. The picture stuff was out of line. Probably would have been proud of killing someone.

I guess that Frank Gifford gets the last laugh.
