Going to be interesting when he goes to AAA. They cannot say defense either,Olt and La Stella are just as bad.

Olt is a very good defensive third baseman.

Exactly. They can't do this.

It's not like this is some unknown. He's almost certainly your best hitter. You don't sit your best hitter for 10 games voluntarily. He could hit 6 HRs in those games.

I have not watched any games this spring. Has Bryant been really bad in the field?

Olt is OK not going to win any gold glove awards. Just think the defense excuse is going to be lame and you know that will be the excuse.

Last I saw he had 8 chances with 2 throwing errors.

So, it can only get better.

So Bryant is 8-for-25.

Not hits.

Home runs.

Mike Olt is by far the best 3b on the 40 man roster. Most scouting sites say he is above avg at 3b. If he hit enough to be able to stay at 3rd for a whole season, he very well could win a GG.

Haven't posted in this thread yet, but I have a Cubs guy that says there is a kid named Bryant that can hit the snot out of the ball.

Keep your eye on him.

And I would hope it was not ticking. Would also hope it had a note in it that said Kris Bryant is starting at 3B for the Cubs opening day. Bombs away!!!!

Gleyber Torres is knocking MFers out as an 18 year-old in low-A South Bend.

He's slashing .348/.423/.391

I don't know where the Cubs are going to put all these generational talents on the big league roster.

Schwarber 235 (allegedly)
Vogelbach 250 (allegedly)
Total = 485 rounding up = 500

Is there any culinary item of note from the Smokey Mountains. I picture it as a center for fast food and moonshine

I know he is no longer a prospect but yesterday on my jog Pat Hughes spent some time telling me what a wonderful person Soler was...easygoing with a smile always on his face. Uh, Pat...

For real though, you cant stop. You gotta keep producing homegrown talent, especially pitching, if you want to consistently win.
