What will his future hold in the NBA? Good player? Role player? No player?

He's compared to Brad Miller. Never a superstar but can be a starter on a very good team.

Would take Decker over him. Frank isnt going to get clear outs in the NBA against guys smaller than him and need to jump to block his shot so he can jump under them.

I don't think that's a great comparison. Miller was stronger on the block and Kaminsky has more of an offensive game, better skills. I don't think he'll be as good, but I think a better comparison for Kaminsky is Gasol. Anyway, I wouldn't underestimate this kid. He's done stuff nobody dreamed he could do at every level.

I was pretty high on him until I watched last night. Take away his right hand and move to the right and he is pretty useless offensively.
I realize the NBA is a different game and more spacing on the floor but he has got to get a lot stronger and use the left hand.

Like I said, he's improved consistently and actually gotten better and stronger as he moved up levels. I wouldn't doubt that he can bring a strong offensive game to the NBA. His problem is likely to come defensively and with rebounding. Guys like Cousins and that big fucker on the Clippers will push him all over the place. But one thing the NBA is lacking is post players with offensive skills. I would bet that within two seasons Okafor is hands down the best center in the league.

Have you just watched him play just one game? Granted he wasn't good last night but he has been really good with his left hand all year. I don't know how he he is going to handle the big bodies at the next level, but he does a lot of things right on the offensive end.

You aren't watching Decker closely enough, IMO. The hype for Sam is way over the top. He is not a consistent enough shooter yet for the NBA, and isn't a great defender either.

Sam has been a disappointment almost all season, except for the past few games.

Yea, the announcers claiming he has no left was way overblown. He has a left, and he has used it. He definitely didn't play that well last night, but that will happen.

He's also still developing. I mean, he was an average-ish player until the tournament last year... and now he's the best in college. He barely played before his JR year.

Hayes is the best NBA prospect of the 3, IMO.

I've watched multiple games but I thought that Oregon had a good game plan against him and he was taken out of his normal game. I know he can dribble and go left
occasionally but he doesn't seem to like it much. I think the guy has a lot of upside and for a 7 footer he has some very solid ball skills. He can pass and shoot as well
as any college big man I have seen. Might take a while to translate at the next level depending on who he is playing with. Don't get me wrong Hawg, I am a fan but I
just saw him in a different light last night.

The skills he has in college at his size gives him a massive advantage. It won't be that large of an advantage in the pros.

He'll be a good player. I could see him being the third best player on a pretty good team. He'll be better than Cody Zeller at a lower draft pick.

He had 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. He wasn't great, but he was still good.

Yeah, I was laughing when they were saying he had a terrible first half with just 7 points. As an Illinois fan, when a guy has seven points in the first half it usually means Kendrick Nunn was having a good shooting night.

I think from a National level the expecations from him now are almost unattainable unless he goes for 25 and 12.

Agreed. Hayes has surprised me the last two games.

Hayes has huge potential and I just don't think Dekker fits this offense. He has to get a more consistent jump shot for sure, but he wants to play a wide open game, and that is not happening with Bo. This past summer he played at some Lebron James camp and it was widely reported that Dekker was the best player there, fairly certain even Lebron said it.

That's why I wonder if he will go pro. Anyone watching him every game would say he should stay, but the notion that he can perform better in an NBA offense is still there.

I hope he stays. I think he needs to get a lot better.

I could see he and Hayes going, that would not be good for next year.

Yes, he is the coaches son. His dad played for Bo Ryan at Platteville also. Pretty cool story, while the Badgers were playing in the tournament Friday night, his dad was coaching Germantown in the state basketball tournament semis and his brother plays at North Dakota State and they were playing in the NCAA tournament, all at the same time.
