Spiegel must be pissed at him.

He basically shut that down way earlier than usual.

The wedding is legit. Been talked about for a while. Hosted by @SQNEvents. Gay wedding actually, they do those, just not black ones.

He had to apologize for the first time in what? 20 years?

Not a win or anything close to it.

For Bernstein to win this, he had to completely ignore it. That he addressed it at all = loss.

No, he addressed it with what sounded like genuine contrition and didn't qualify it with "if I offended anyone" or any of that. He handled it maturely. He even said he was a bad dad. Somewhere in the bowels of the Tribune Tower, Dave Kaplan is polishing his "Father of the Year" mug and humming "We Are the Champions."

Its a draw. He didn't win because he acknowledged it and admitted wrong doing but its not a loss either because he didn't really apologize.

Also, its pretty clear he is suspended, right?

Or was the friday day off already announced? Im sure the wedding exists, but I doubt Dan was taking a day off for it before this incident or was he?

It wasn't much of an apology. I'd give him a 5 on a scale of 1-10.
