I'm starting to get reasonably excited about Mike Olt. Some scouts saying they think he can put out close to gold glove caliber defense at 3rd. If he can do that an OPS .725-.750, becomes quite a valuable piece and allows Bryant to move to the OF which is likely better long term for him.

The ultimate pie in the sky wish is that Olt figures it out and locks down 3rd base for the foreseeable future. However, the much more realistic hope is that Olt can provide some pop off the bench in a reserve role. He would be extremely valuable if he can play 3rd, 1st and some OF two or three times a week.

I know hoping Olt plays GG caliber 3rd and OPS's mid 700's is Spring Training drunk, but I really like the idea of moving Bryant out of the IF.

I don't think a .750 OPS is crazy talk for Olt. Again, at one point he was a huge hitting prospect. Guys can still figure it out in their mid to late 20's.

I think he will play good defense. Gold glove is a little tough though.

Several NL teams have used 6-man bullpens in the last several years. It isn't my job to do your complete research. Feel free to find other examples if you feel you must.

If you feel you need another bullpen arm, add Wada or Doubront and remove Szczur or Baez. (This move makes the team worse.)

Maybe late in the year you would go with an 11 man staff, but I would hate to start out the year like that. Hell I have seen the Brewers have a 13 man staff at times over the last couple of years.

almost every MLB team carries 13 players and 12 pitchers... in fact most of 2014 the Cubs had 12 players and 13 pitchers...I am just curious and would like you to name just two or three teams that had a a 14/11 split... every roster I looked at was 13/12 and I did do my research... it's called going to over 60 games a year in person and I am old school enough to keep a scorecard at each game.
